Superior Suite- Peaceful Retreat on the River

Relax on the bluffs of the Ohio River in the Shawnee National Forest. Take in nature at its best! 15 minutes to Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock, and Pounds Hollow, and only a little farther to Jackson Falls, Burden Falls, and Bell Smith Springs. Explore the Shawnee National Forest by day and relax each evening with a front-row seat to a river view and open sky. After a day of adventure take a long soak in the jacuzzi tub or warm your toes by your private fireplace!

The Superior Suite is in a quad unit with private entrance & shared back deck overlooking the Ohio River. Suite is complete with 2 queen beds, kitchenette with essentials, living area with fireplace, & full bath with jacuzzi tub and separate shower.

Pets are allowed with a nightly fee of $10!

Great Views!!!!!!!

Our stay was wonderful! The host was helpful and the room was clean. The best part was the outdoor space with beautiful views and wildlife. The driveway to our cabin was in need of repair but still worth it!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this property! So peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views, lots of nature and cozy! We are already planning another trip soon! Could use a little more TLC, but all in all a great trip. Mattress could use a upgrade, but nothing horrible. So beautiful here!

Weekend trip

We enjoyed the peacefulness on the river. Our view off the back porch was beautiful. They had everything thing you needed dishes, microwave, TV, and refrigerator. We stayed in a suite. It was very spacious and comfy. We will go again.

Weekend stay

The room was clean and had all that was advertised, but had not been updated in a long time. The beds were not very comfortable, but frankly for the price and the location worth it and would definitely stay there again. We had no issues with anything.

Pleasantly surprised

I kind of goofed up on this booking. I thought it was much closer to Paducah thsn the drive actually is. Traveling back and forth took time butvit isca beautiful drive and the peacefulness of the cabin was so worth it!! Only down side i dan say is that if you need tobeork while you are there, bring a hotspot. This places forces you to relax and I loved it!

I liked that it was along the river. It was very quiet. The host was very friendly. The host provided a mobile router because the wifi wasn’t connecting. Everything we needed was available. The property was very well kept and up to date.

Weekend get away

Absolutely gorgeous views. Very quiet, comfortable, very easy to get to. Exactly what we were looking for. Great view of the river. The room was very clean, comfortable, with everything we needed. There was even a welcome basket, which was very nice. It has shampoo and conditioner, soap,and hand soap all smelt amazing. Pleanty of towels and toilet paper. TV worked great and we had WiFi. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of different pillows to chose from. We sat out on the porch and it so quiet and relaxing. Nothing could be better. We absolutely love this place. We will be back.

Unique experience

The location is very nice. We especially enjoyed how secluded the trails were next to the river and under the breathtaking the cliffs, as opposed to how many people were actually touring the State Parks. We missed the Civil War Cemetery at the entrance but would have liked to walk through it as well as the gate looked very intriguing. The sunrise on the river was beautiful through the mist. Overall very good experience. Thank you

Great stay!

Everything was great! Check in was a breeze, the studio was clean and comfortable. There happened to be a storm on night two of our stay and we lost power, the host promptly brought us candles to use and even invite my children to the main building for board games. I also received detailed instructions of we needed shelter during the storm. Host was very informative about the area and attractions. The area was very peaceful and we loved every minute of our stay. As listed and I highly recommend! Thank you for a great week!

The property had an amazing view over the Ohio river. It was quite and calming. The cabin was a little outdated and could use new mattresses and a sitting area/couch, but overall comfortable. The Jacuzzi tub and fireplace were a definite plus. Communication with Hailey was great. She gave us some awesome advice on things to do and places to eat. I know the location was just recently purchased by a new owner and I know they are looking at future updates. All in all for the price it was great stay. Yes I believe if we go back to the area we would stay there again.

The location had an excellent view of the Ohio River! Could not have picked a better location for the amazing views! The newly remodeled bathroom was fantastic with a jacuzzi tub, plenty of hot water, brand new towels. The pillows were majorly stained; fortunately we brought our own. There were 4 cabins in our building but only two tables on the deck. There should be one table per cabin so we wouldn’t have had to fight with the neighbors over a table! And the property description said there would be a grill-/where? The kitchen was missing a fire extinguisher although there was a holder for one. The kitchen lighting was poor because there was a burned out bulb, (should actually be a three or four bulb light fixture) so we borrowed a bulb from the refrigerator. We did not have the WIFI password for the TV, we wouldn’t have known we needed one if it wasn’t for the neighbors telling us, so we hiked over to the convention center to find out what the deal was with that. That turned into a very informative encounter with the staff, very very helpful guiding us around the maps of site around the Shawnee area.

Our room was clean. It was exceptionally quiet. It was so relaxing. Host communicates quickly (almost immediately). We didn't bring our dog, but it is pet friendly. We had a kitchen and i would recommend bringing some food as you don't have a lot of options in the surrounding area.

Pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The unit had everything needed. A nice kitchenette fully stocked for preparing meals. Comfortable seat with fireplace and TV. Beds provided great sleep. Whirlpool in bathroom was a plus. Back porch right along Ohio River. Enjoyed sounds if nature and barges going up and down river. Very restful and relaxing.

Enjoyed every minute. The river-facing windows and deck allowed us to experience the view all day and night. Don’t be fooled by the charming vintage exterior because the amenities are all in excellent condition. The mattresses are among the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The bathroom is luxurious with the jacuzzi being everything you could ask for. Close to spectacular hiking trails and scenery. Highly recommend!
