"Everything was as described! Plenty of towels, beach towels and washcloths. The house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again! Due to all the recent rain we weren’t able to get our tritoon under the canal bridge so weren’t able to dock at the house which was a bummer but was just a result of timing. The dock was really nice and had ropes ready to tie up to. If you aren’t an early riser bring a sleep mask if you’re in the upstairs bedroom. The sun comes in early!"

"We rented the house to go to a memorial in Brooklyn/Wamplers Lake. It was a peaceful place to stay in, no issues with the house. The beds were comfortable. We didn't use all the rooms, but everything was fine. We checked in just fine. We received a code via email, dropped our bags, took the key and went out to eat. Our third guest showed up while we were out and she was accosted by who we think are the homeowners. She was told that they were not expecting anyone that day and she must be mistaken by the location. My friend called me on the phone and I had to give the code access # over speaker phone to prove we weren't trespassing. The two ladies advised my friend that she must be renting from next door because it was also a house that you can rent. After the confusion was settled, they apologized and left to go back to their home nearby. We assume it was a glitch in the system, but I must say it placed fear with our arrival and gave a slight impression we may not have been welcome. That was a brief impression and there were no more issues. I did look for instructions on how they wanted check out to go, but I couldn't find them on Expedia, Vrbo etc. I sent a message to the homeowner. We loaded the dishwasher, stripped the beds that we used, but we were unsure if that's what they wanted. All in all, stay here! There was a hiccup, but the space is comfortable and the people in the area are a pleasure. You'll see plenty of deer and you'll enjoy the nature and the stars. "

"We had the best time staying at this property. The vacation itself was everything I could've hoped for. The property was clean, convenient dock and lake access, and the host was wonderful. We were there for the 4th of July and we encountered a hiccup when a wild storm blew through the area on the 3rd and knocked out the power in many areas, but the host and her extended family were fantastic getting us setup with a generator so that we could have power and some AC, as it was 90 that weekend. I would highly recommend this property for a wonderful lake getaway, if you don't have a boat, we rented a great pontoon from Rob's Rentals in the area. I would definitely stay here again."

"This Clarklake home was perfect for our family. The house is super charming and has a great cabin feel. We loved sitting on the patio, the back porch and the deck. The ease of renting the boat made the vacation that much better. Kevin was so easy to work with and very communicative. The gift basket and waters in every room were really nice surprises. Great location. Would definitely stay here again."

"This house is amazing! It had enough bedrooms for a group of 13 adults. The heated indoor pool was actually comfortably warm the whole time and its a good size for a large group. One end is about 8ft deep. There were a lot of floaties, a basketball hoop, and pool balls. There is also a sensor on the door that chimes when it opens, which would be a nice safety feature for a group with kids. It was probably the cleanest rental home we have stayed at. The kitchen is well stocked with dinnerware, cookware, flatware, and other things you might need (citrus juicer, wine opener, etc.). There are multiple communal rooms that are great for large groups, including the dining table which probably seats 20. There are houses nearby, but the house is mostly surrounded by trees, so it feels very private; you won't see neighbors until you drive out on the road.There is a decent grocery store and gas stations within a 10 min drive. We also recommend kayak rentals at Tecumseh Paddling Company (about 30 mins away). Our group stayed at the Fort Recovery house (same owners as this house) and we have had a great experience both times. I highly recommend both houses, but especially this one because there's much more to do in the area. Thank you for a great stay!"
