"The hotel is dated and needs work. Doors do not close properly, bathroom etc. the exterior doors do not seal so our room reeked of the weed the guys 2 doors down were smoking. If we could smell the weed from 2 doors away how warm would the rooms be in winter ."

Single Family Cottage Perfect for Families with Kids Charm and Sunset Included
10/10 Excellent
"Our recent stay at the cottage in McKellar was overall a really lovely experience. The cottage was a nice little cozy and cute space, perfect for relaxing and spending quality time in nature. We especially loved the outdoor setup — the bonfire area was definitely the best part of the stay and made the evenings feel extra special.
Since the cottage is surrounded by nature, there were a few ants and bugs around, but honestly that’s expected when you’re staying in the heart of nature and it didn’t take away from our experience.
The host was very kind, responsive, and answered our queries immediately, which we really appreciated.
A small thing to note for future guests is that there is no shower upstairs — there is only a single-person shower located in the basement. Also, the water flow throughout the cottage was a bit inconsistent at times; the water would come fast and then slow down, so you sometimes had to wait a little.
Other than that, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and had a great time."
