Our holiday home "Casa Anna" is a simple but cosy "Rustico" in Avegno di Dentro, a small settlement of traditional stone houses in the front of the Maggia Valley, canton Ticino, Switzerland. On the ground floor there is the living room with a sofa and an open fireplace, the dining area with the modern equipped kitchen with hob, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher, and the bathroom with shower cubicle, sink, WC and washing machine.These rooms are grouped around a small courtyard with a garden table and an open fire place. This inner courtyard gives the house its very special character, all rooms open with large window doors towards this area. In this centre of the house you can relax under the open sky, out of sight of the neighbours. An open staircase leads from this courtyard to the upper floor with the two bedrooms and the small but very sunny pergola above the entrance. The house is very quietly situated and is within walking distance to swimming facilities of the Maggia river. However, if tranquillity becomes too much, Lake Maggiore with its famous resorts of Ascona and Locarno is just a short distance away.
