Nice hotel good facilities.
Disappointed that when we arrived, the rooms were cold although it was freezing out requested an extra heater which was promptly delivered
Looking for an experience in France where you feel rich but on a budget? Look no further! Very impressed with the rooms, amenities and service! Would come again, just keeping in mind local restaurants speak very little French but the staff at the Chateau were very accommodating with a great breakfast.
Lovely ambience and excellent dining. Only issue was they couldn’t give us a twin room so we had to manage with a double
Apparently you must specially request a twin in advance
The setting is gorgeous amidst a park with tall trees.
Our room was spacious and everything is nicely decorated. There are also three restaurants on spot.
I love this place. It is not in any sense luxurious but it is extraordinary to be able to stay in a Mediaeval Chartreuse, where some of the most powerful men in France once lived life at a level that not many other people can have dreamed of. ( possibly the king!) Lots of people want to come here and it is a draw for weddings, Conferences etc. which needs to be factored in. But the staff were very charming and friendly and very human. It was a pleasure to spend time with a couple of them. We have visited three times and it is now very firmly on our map! It is a wonderful space.
Such a beautiful hotel with history and set on such beautiful grounds. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The whole hotel is a wonderful experience and walking around the hotel and grounds was like taking a step back in time. Great hotel and comfortable rooms.
A beautiful place to stay, elegant, quiet with the choice of three fabulous restaurants. The staff are very helpful too. It was sad to hear Expedia had not sent through the payment when we were checking out - please sort this out to help keep these special places in business.
Great place to stay about 1 hour south of Calais, hotel like a chateau and very comfortable, choice of 3 restos and great parking and walking - a bit far from the motorway but worth the detour
Nice chateau hotel, creaking boards and all. Very comfortable, nice room and bed, clean bathroom, however.... the service in the Robert 2 gastronomic restaurant was nothing short of awful, not due to the sole waitress who didn't stop for the 3 hours we were there, but the lack of staff and service. Food excellent when it arrived. We took the wine pairings, however with our finished entree plates in front of us for 45 minutes before a further 30 mins for the main course the wine pairing with the entree had long been consumed.
The room service was poor. We were left without a toilet roll for our last day (we stayed 3 nights), and the upturned wine glasses were not clean, smelled strongly of stale wine! On our arrival the check-in queue was long with long waits - lack of staff. The hotel is showing signs of decline. Hopefully they can turn it around.
Lovely spot easy to find and close to autoroute for stop off Harding for south coast .
Bed very comfortable, stayed on one of those very hot days - Only thing below par was the air con wasn’t working and took a while to try and cool the room with windows open .
Arrived very late but a kind lady on reception welcomed us as if it were only 5pm and served us a nightcap in the bar just before it closed, which was just what the doctor ordered. The room was quiet, large and characterful - perfect for our dogs, of which the hotel was very accommodating. The chateau is a lovely property with nice gardens at the back. The breakfast was one of the best I can remember. Will recommend to others.

Nice but could easily be much better
Check in functional but not friendly. Room fine- clean and comfortable. Bathrooms again fine. Nice hotel and homely. It’s also generally quite so long as you avoid the ground floor rooms. Breakfast is functional. Our big gripe is always the bar. We and other guests have to hunt for the bar staff which isn’t good enough. Might as well make the bar a self service honesty bar.

Very nice and helpful staff. The restaurant food is excellent (Vasco was the only one open, in spite of summer high season). Grounds are not well kept. Carpets in rooms and hallways need urgent removal, their cleaning product "perfume" in the rooms is overbearing.
