Very Private 2 Acre Waterfront Lake House w/ Pool & Hot Tub - optional bunkhouse

Come enjoy Reel Point Resort at Possum Kingdom Lake for a Lakefront home with over 300' of shoreline including two gorgeous jetties. The flat entry shore is great for kids to run around and play. This home features tons of outdoor space to stretch your legs and feel like you have no neighbors! Each the extra large covered back patio. You can fish off the shoreline, jetties or the boat dock. Bring your own boat or jet ski to get out on the water because this property has a private concrete boat ramp on the property. Homeowners dock their Malibu 24’ Wake boarding Boat on the boat dock along with two jet skis while there. This stretch of Possum Kingdom is perfect for all water sports.

Inside the main lake home retreat features 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Master has queen size bed and walk in shower. 2nd bedroom has queen size bed. 3rd bedroom has queen size bed and also a twin/twin bunk bed which is perfect for a family of four. The 4th bedroom has a twin day bed with another bunk bed featuring a full size bottom and twin top.

Outside you will find a swimming pool (not heated), hot tub, lakeside party pavilion with large U-Shaped Bar and plenty of trees for shade with lights throughout. Weber Gas grill with propane provided along with smoker and electric smoker. Fire pit for guests to make s’mores. Please follow local burn bans and do not leave fire going while going out on the water or going to bed. This property is also outside pet friendly with a large dog run. (no inside pets)

***Add the Sportsmans World Teen Bunk House that has 4 sets of bunk beds (2 - twin/twin) (2 - full/twin), full bathroom, refrigerator, fold out couch, covered patio for $175 per night that sleeps an additional 12 people. Bunkhouse area is on separate lock and not to be used if you do not add this to your stay. The bunkhouse can not be rented unless you rent the main house.

Located 1/2 mile from a couple restaurants, bar, liquor store and shopping. Trading Post the local PK Grocery Store is located a short 8-10 minute drive.

This was our second visit to Reel Point. It is a great place to relax with family. Plenty of space to spread out. The property is nicely decorated and the outdoor property is great with beautiful views of the lake and sunsets. Would diffidently recommend to anyone wanting a lake house at PK.

What more could a family ask for? A fire pit for hotdogs and s’mores. Big pool for the girls to relax, fishing dock for the boys. Kayak, water board, Fantastic outdoor living space. Fully equipped kitchen, and everything was as described. Will be back.

The perfect getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. There were six of us girls here for a long weekend, and we spent most of our time in the pool. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough space for us all. There were a ton of crickets throughout the property (inside and out) but that is part of the package while at the lake. One of the lounge chairs was broken and unusable, but there was a ton of other patio furniture.

Not as clean as thought it would be. Lounge chair broken, canoe was broken. Didn’t know only one large water use at a time until check in and ants in bedroom with double bed and bunk bed. A sink in hall bath wouldn’t drain. Kids got stuck in bedroom due to barn door not having a stopper.

Property is breathtaking!

Overall, we had an excellent stay! The house is just as listed, and the property is so beautiful and has the perfect view for a sunset! Having a pool and a hot tub was an added perk! It is a quiet area and the perfect weekend getaway from the city. The stars at night are unreal! A few things to be aware of: definitely bring backup kitchen items. There was a one fork and very minimal utensils provided for a large group. There are definitely bugs, which is to be expected, but it seemed like it could have been wiped down a little more before our arrival and the cobwebs and dust outside made it seem like no one had been at the property in a long time. Otherwise, the house is very nice. The beds could use an upgrade, but we aren’t really at the property to spend time in bed, so we were okay. We would love to rent again, and some few minor tweaks would make this the ultimate lake house getaway! Overall, great stay!

Pros and cons

I will start with cons so we end on a good note. Cons: patio/furniture was dirty with lots of spiderwebs, only one fork and no cheese grader, boat dock was to high and couldn’t lower it to water level so pretty much useless, no response from owners when we contacted them to see if we could lower it (we picked this house mainly because we had a pontoon boat that we wanted to leave in the water), mattresses in every room was old (you would roll to the middle of mattress), water heaters were to small to keep up with showers (one shower would deplete all hot water), half the TV remotes had non working batteries (had to switch batteries back and forth to use different TV’s). Pros: Inside house was very clean, views were unbelievable, fire pit was great, outside ice maker worked great, boat ramp was a plus. Even with all the cons, we had a great time. If the beds, boat dock and water heater were addressed, we would return. We would expect the outside patio furniture to be clean since we did pay a pretty good cleaning fee. Hopefully someone will address the issues for future guests.

Enjoyed Time With the Family

We had a really nice stay and great family time at this property. The outdoor area is spacious and there is a lot of room to run and play. The pool was great and the hot tub was fun for all. When we arrived there were 15 cows all around the property (front and back yards). We were told to close the front gate as soon as we arrived so they didn’t enter but they were already there. They were crossing over through the lake from another property. They had done their business all over the property and we spent over an hour in the hot sun scooping it up and disposing of it. The entire property outdoors is covered in cobwebs and spiders. This includes all of the areas (bunkhouse, dock, porch, bar area, and one nasty urinal out by the lakeside bar). We spent an additional hour+ cleaning cobwebs off of TV’s, counters, dock area, and all outdoor furniture, walls, and windows. The cows returned everyday and we were busy shooing them off several times each day and cleaning up after them so the kids didn’t step in it while playing. We understood that only one person should shower at a time due to the septic system but after the first couple of showers the water was cold. You cannot dock your boat at the boat dock. The dock is too high and drop down was rusted over. Boat had to be re-trailered after each time. The grills need to be replaced and are unclean. We enjoyed our time but for the money charged will not rent again. We found the advertised details a bit misleading.
