Fabulous & Friendly
From a few days before our stay to touching down back in England, the host, Nicholas was in contact with us. He met us near the property on arrival so he could ensure we found it and explained everything. Every day he messaged us with ideas of places to visit with directions. He was very helpful and friendly. The property itself was very clean and spacious with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The garden and pool area was lovely, with places to relax in the sun or in the shade. The town of Galdar was a 5 min walk away with many restaurants, cafes and shops. There is quite a steep hill to walk up, so it may not suit everyone. Galdar was beautiful, it was decorated for Christmas with lights and flowers and attracted lots of visitors. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely book again.

Relaxing fantastic apartment
What a fabulous property, has everything you need. The pool area is brilliant, with great views, a bbq and toilet and shower so you dont have to go back up to the main building. The garden is a lovely oasis of colour and shade and we loved the two tortoises. The town is a short walk away, and is delightful, great places to eat and drink and get shopping. We enjoyed wandering around the town and taking in the rich culture. Last and certainly not least Nicholas was the best host. He made us feel very welcome before we'd even arrived and was full of knowledge and great suggestions about the local area and further afield. It was the most relaxing holiday our group have had and we'll certainly look to come back, missing it already!

Lovely Property in a quite location a short walk from town
Realy enjoyed our stay. Came for a quiet getaway and thats exactly what we got. Very nice accomodation a short walk from town (although the first 150m is quite a steep hill). the view from the pool area is fantastic and the facilities in te property were all as discribed. Nicholas is a great host, full of local knowledge and good information on the best places to eat and visit.

Really lovely apartment. We were lucky not to have people upstairs the whole time as the noise did carry. The pool was really cold but once in was good. Bit of a steep uphill trek to town but kept us fit! Nicholas was great. Really helped out organising a restaurant booking and cake for my husbands 60th birthday whilst we were there.

Villa con jardin y piscina, Galdar
We were looking for something different this year and were very pleased to have found this villa. The property had a number of stand out positives such as, amazing private pool area with beautiful views of the sea and surrounding banana plantations. The pool is heated to 28 degrees so after the initial dip you wont want to get out as it is the ideal temperature to cool you down on a hot day. There is also the fantastic elevated terrace that leads out from both the living area and master bedroom and overlooks a wonderfully maintained garden with numerous fruit trees and plants and cleverly framed sea views. Overall the property was very well appointed and could not be faulted on cleanliness or presentation. Our contact Nicolas was brilliant and gave us a quick tour of the property and local town Galdar on the night we arrived. He also sent us great ideas and directions for places to visit and restaurants to check out. The lovely old town of Galdar is only a short walk up the hill from the property and has some great restaurants worth visiting. There are parking spaces opposite the property but the road is narrow so make sure you pull right up to the path. All in all we had a great stay. The whole process was professional and a cut above the rest. We would highly recommend this villa.

Can't fault it...
Stayed at villa with friends end of April into May. The villa is remarkably well equipped with everything you need and more.. The pool was great and water temperature ideal as it is partially heated by solar panels. Plenty of outside seating areas on terrace,garden area and pool...Only downside to our holiday was the annoying clouds that seem to sit over the north of Gran Canaria during our entire stay but we can't hold the villa responsible for that! Would definitely stay here again..

A really nice stay in Gandar
This is a very well equipped property with everything you might need - and Nicholas is there every day and very prompt to respond if there is a discrepancy. The pool area is lovely and completely private, and Gandar is gorgeous - a real community town with lots of life, everyone very friendly, and not a tourist in sight (a real bonus!) However, the tourist areas are easily accessible by car and we spent a couple of days doing boat trips (dolphins and whales - really worth while) and checking out the main beaches. But for us it was nicer in the north, (greener, less glitz), and the countryside just back from the coast has some spectacular places to visit (if you can cope with the rather hair raising mountain roads. Nicholas was very helpful with suggestions on what to see and very interested in what we thought. Good job we spoke Spanish though - could have been a little confusing if we hadn't!

Fabulous Holiday Home
The Villa is fantastic, the garden wonderful, the pool gorgeous. Everything was just right. The quality of the accommodation was very good and there was everything needed for a great holiday. The variety of seating/eating areas was superb, even a shower/toilet/washbasin and kitchen area down by the pool! The view is beautiful (and is just as the photo shows). There is even a resident Cat who provided many amusing moments and is very friendly. Do not be put off by the strange position of the villa - we wondered what we had come to when we arrived along a single track road lined with odd "breeze block" walls and banana fields covered in protective materials. Once through the front door you are in another world! If you want a holiday without noise, away from the busy towns, this place is ideal. We drove all around the Island, seeing the bars, crowded beaches....fish and chips..... and it was wonderful to return to the peace and quiet, fabulous facilities, glorious pool and just relax. Veray and his Father were extremely helpful but not intrusive. We will return!

Very comfortable property in nice town.
We enjoyed our stay in Galdar very much. The property was just as described and very homely. The outside eating areas, garden and pool were particularly good. Yerey and family were all very considerate and helpful. We didn't hire a car and found the local bus service very good. Trips to Las Palmas city (old town in particular) and various other local seaside spots were enjoyed. The hot water mentioned in previous reviews has obviously been sorted as we had not problems at all with hot water. 10 minute walk to Galdar town brought lots of cafes' and bars and weekly market in the lovely square.

We enjoy these comments, and we feel, much if someone has had a bad time in our homes, because we know that is to make you illusions with the few holidays we have a year, and you can ruin small details, every negative comment we see As a challenge, such as the incorporation of solar panels to heat the pool, is not at high temperature but is no longer as cold as the comments we had, we changed the armchair unlike a new one, all the indications is always good to improve , these guests, from the beginning were very happy, I am so happy to me and my parents, they would have such a good time, and we also want to send a warm greeting and return when they want to have our contacts. Best regards.

Well Appointed Apartment
Unfortunately the weather was terrible during our stay - most unusual - I’m sure the Apartment (not a villa) would be excellent for outdoor living, but just too cold during our stay and the uncomfortable sofa meant we sat on the bed and read during the evening. The upstairs apartment noise travelled downstairs easily given tiled floors. The satellite TV has 2/3 English news channels only. There is enough hot water for only one and a half showers at a time, The “travel”kettle was frustratingly small. This would be disappointing if the Apartment was fully occupied Nicholas was most helpful on arrival and provided a bottle of wine chocolates and fruit. The Place was very clean throughout with some good supplies of tea,coffee, sugar, oil and herbs for cooking

Verdaderamente con el tiempo no podemos hacer nada, es verdad que la semana que estuvieron fue la peor. Normalmente la gente suele sentarse en la terrazas para leer, el sillón para sofa ver la tele normal. La televisión si tiene par de canales de todos los idiomas, termo tendremos que revisarlo porque no es normal.

Fabulous outside space
The outside patio, gardens and pool area are beautiful. Plenty of seating in sun or shade and great sea views across to Tenerife. This is an apartment, rather than a house, but has private use of the gardens and pool. The area is a little run down, but the owners have made a really good job of designing and furnishing the apartment. It was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. The owners provided very good directions and were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We visited in December, and overall we would say perhaps this apartment would be better in summer. There is not enough comfortable seating indoors - only one sofa that seats 3 - but the apartment sleeps 5. We found in the evenings we struggled to all be able to sit down. In summer you would be outside, but in December this was an issue for us. Also, at best only 2 people could have a hot shower each day. The shower is temperamental and quickly runs out of hot water. As for the area, Galdar is a very authentic Spanish town, we loved going for a coffee or a beer by the Square, which we kind of earned after the walk up the hill! Also Puerto de las Nieves is fabulous - a great place to watch the sunset! (We had dinner at Ragu - an amazing Italian restaurant serving fantastic fish dishes). Finally, we did the drive to Puerto Morgan (beautiful) and Tejede (awe inspiring). They were both great days out but each around a 90 minute drive. Highly recommend house and area, almost perfect.

A short walk takes you to Galdar town with its many shops and restaurants. A genuine living working Canarian town. Away from the tourist trap, you emerse your self in the place. The friendliness of the people is instantly felt. The enjoyment of hearing The local people enjoy the the company of friends and family was a joy.

Wonderful holiday in a beautiful villa
This villa is beautifully decorated, well equipped, and the gardens and pool are a joy. Located in easy walking distant to a busy little town with lots of shops, bars and cafes. Owners were very helpful and friendly and we had a fabulous family holiday.

A lovely place to stay...
We had previously stayed on a package deal in the South so wanted to try the other side of the Island. And we are so glad we did. Galdar is a nice "Spanish town" rather than "Touristy" environment and the people we met there were absolutely lovely, especially the owners of the house. Our son was not well during the first few days of our holiday from a pre-existing condition and needed urgent hospital treatment. Galdar has a wonderful local state hospital and the doctors there were absolutely fantastic - decisive, positive and compassionate. The swift treatment provided rapid relief and we were able to enjoy the rest of our holiday in Gran Canaria. Upon arriving at the house it seemed further from town than it actually is (only a few minutes walk), due to one-way traffic taking us around the narrow farming/plantation roads, but when we reached the house we were delighted with how clean and comfortable it was. Everything we needed was provided including washing machine, iron, ironing board, plenty of towels etc. The house is an older property that has been well refurbished in a contemporary style and is decorated with excellent colour co-ordination. There is a nice shaded verandah with steps down to a delightful, verdent garden. Beyond the garden is the pool area with plenty of space around it and the garden vegetation creates a perfect screen to ensure privacy around the pool which at a guess is a consistent depth of about 1.2m with steps at one end. So nice to have on a hot day. Our chats with Nicholas, who comes round each evening to maintain the pool & garden were most enjoyable. Thank you so much Nicholas and Yeray for being excellent hosts and for allowing us to holiday in your lovely home. Helena loved the Lillies and Paul and I really enjoyed the honey rum...... We are already saying how much we would like to come back in the future.

Really fantastic spacious property with pool
The villa was absolutely lovely, on arrival we were meet by Nicolas, the owners father, who was really kind and very helpful. They had prepared a welcome pack which also had some homemade food gifts, really lovely touch. This was followed by a tour of the generous property, all three bedrooms were good sizes and the main bedroom had a delightful en suite. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need. The garden was lovely and at the end of the garden was a lovely private pool and sunbathing area, and on a clear day a view of Tenerife. We had some lovely days out and about, a car is a definite must as it was the best way to see all the sights. Galdar town is a good day out on market day, good shops and supermarket. Within a short drive there is a good sized Lidl and Mercodona, all with plenty of choice if you wish to dine in. A must see are the Dunes in Maspalomas, on the south coast, stunning scenery all round, and wonderful beach. There are really good coves and beaches dotted around. Then at the end of the busy days sightseeing and exploring it was a wonderful villa to come back to and completely relax.

Heavenly home
OMG!!! Where do I start what a fantastic home. We stayed here for a week at the beginning of November and what a lovely welcome we received on arrival not your usual small necessities we were greeted by a lovely couple who had thoughtfully left us an array of goods from simple things like bread milk and water to olive oil fresh fruit and cakes. The house itself is spotless beautiful and has wifi and everything you would need only thing we felt missing was a DVD player as only Spanish speaking TV so would have been nice to have brought some DVDs to watch at night. Gladar itself is very nice has everything you need for a quiet relaxing holiday this is perfect..I would say though that a car is necessary if you want to venture further we visited south of the island which was great for beaches and larger shopping centres but we loved to come back at night to a very inviting home from home. We will definitely be back and hope it's soon as we so loved the place. Thank you again for your hospitality Gary & Sandra ( Scotland)

Ausruhen in ruraler Oase
Die ruhige Wohnung mit drei Schlafzimmern ist in einem sehr sauberen Zustand. Der Garten ist eine schattenspendende Oase. Er wird regelmäßig morgens vom Gastgeber gepflegt. Der Pool, der ebenfalls jeden Tag auf seine Wasserqualität geprüft wird, befindet sich von Blicken abgeschirmt hinter einer Hecke. Hier kann man sich herrlich abkühlen! Neben dem Pool befindet sich ein überdachter Grillplatz mit angrenzendem Haus, in dem sich sowohl alles was man zum Grillen und Kochen benötigt sowie eine Dusche und Toilette findet. Wir haben es sehr genossen abends mit Blick auf den Atlantik dort zu kochen und zu essen. Fußläufig zu erreichen sind alle möglichen Geschäfte. Der Gastgeber hat uns mit allen Informationen zu Restaurants und interessanten Ausflugszielen versorgt. Da der Weg zum Haus nicht einfach zu finden ist, haben wir uns mit ihm am Ankunftstag per Messenger an einem gemeinsamen Treffpunkt verabredet und wurden von ihm dort hingeleitet. Ein sehr freundlicher Service! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Vacaciones
Casa muy bien equipada, limpia y a 5 minutos a pie de zona comercial (tiendas, supermercados, restaurantes, etc), a 10 minutos a pie de estación de autobuses y centro médico. La piscina y el estupendo jardín son atendidos diariamente a primera hora de la mañana. Nos hospedamos dos familia residentes en la isla, disfrutamos mucho del jardín y de la piscina. Nos sorprendió muy gratamente un mensaje recibido por teléfono del propietario el tercer día interesándose por nosotros y preguntado si estaba todo correcto. Llevamos 14 años arrendando diferentes villas y casas, y es la primera vez que se interesan por nuestra estancia. En resumen, por calidad y por su precio casa muy recomendable.

Exterior perfecto
El propietario nos atendió muy bien desde el primer día hasta el último. El interior de la casa es bonito, la cocina es amplia, cómoda, y tiene todo lo necesario. El exterior es perfecto para relajarte y desconectar, la piscina es amplia, limpia y muy cuidada. La propiedad está bien ubicada, a unos minutos caminando del Pueblo. Estar en el jardín por la noche es ideal... las luces se encienden y es realmente precioso. Volvería a pasar unos días allí sin ninguna duda.

La villa spacieuse. La piscine. Le jardin. Tout est très bien
Il faut aimer les vacances loin des foules et de l hypertourisme. Entre ocean et montagnes il y a tout à decouvrir. Pour les randonneurs les balades fléchées sont nombreuses. Galdar est a quelques minutes a pied. On y trouve tout ce qu il faut. Nicolas est parfait et cumule les roles de guide touristique de traducteur et de mecano à l occasion. Tous les produits de première nécessité sont fournis. On est partis à 3 amis et on a bien aimé . Par contre voiture indispensable.

Genau wie im Inserat
Das Objekt war wirklich schön, leider hat es uns mehr an ein Haus erinnert, als an eine Villa (Reihenhaus) aber komplett abgeschottet von den anderen Nachbarn durch einen wunderschönen Garten! Wir waren anfangs von der Lage wirklich schockiert, eine total enge Straße und man sah auch nicht wirklich Besserung aber da haben wir uns geirrt, kaum sind wir die Straße hoch in die Stadt gelaufen, waren wir auch schon in der wunderschönen Innenstadt von galdar! Nicolas (der Vermieter) war jeden Tag da um sich um den Garten zu kümmern und hat einen jeden Tag mit Informationen über die Insel versorgt (was ich persönlich einfach zu viel fand aber auch sehr aufmerksam). Wir hatten zum Glück einen Mietwagen, weil ohne die Fortbewegung sehr schwierig gewesen wäre (keine Tourismus-Gegend) aber teilweise schwierig beim parken in der engen Straße. Man muss schon am Berg anfahren können und es auch lieben :D Alles in allem war es eine unglaublich schöne Woche in einer tollen Gegend, mit einem sehr netten Vermieter!

Schönes Ferienhaus
Das Ferienhaus hat uns gut gefallen, und war sehr gut ausgestattet. In einem Schlafzimmer war allerdings ein Kleiderschrank am auseinanderfallen. Er müsste mal repariert oder ein neuer angeschafft werden. Der Garten ist sehr schön und am Pool war es sehr ruhig, so dass man gut entspannen konnte. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war gut, und der Service vorort ausgezeichnet. Der Garten und der Pool wurde regelmäßig gepflegt. Vom Ferienhaus bis zum Zentrum nach Galdar läuft man ca. 7 Minuten. Was du siehst (buchst) ist nicht, was du bekommst!
Wir haben das Haus zu dritt (3 erwachsene Männer) gebucht, weil es drei schöne Zimmer mit drei schönen Bädern hat, sodass jeder von uns seinen eigenen Schlaf- und Waschbereich haben konnte. Leider besteht das Haus aus 2 Etagen, auf die sich die Zimmer (insgesamt 5, inkl. Kinderzimmer) aufteilen. Zwei von den drei schönen Zimmern befanden sich im OG und waren bereits an andere Gäste vermietet. Ich musste im Kinderzimmer schlafen (keine Vorhänge, Straße unmittelbar vor dem Fenster, kein Schrank für die Klamotten) ein anderer von uns hatte kein eigenes Bad. Wir dachten beim buchen, dass wir für das Geld ein ganzes Haus für uns haben werden. Denkste! Insgesamt ist das Haus aber sehr ordentlich und sauber. Eine Kaffeemaschine wäre vielleicht noch praktisch gewesen. im Garten tummeln sich die hauseigenen Katzen. Ihre Haare findet man auf allen Stühlen und Polstern. Nichts für Allergiker!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Vorallem die große Veranda und der große Garten mit vielen Bäumen (Orangen, Madarinen, Bananen, Zitronen usw.) und der Pool sind sehr einladend. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles ist auch sehr kinderfreundlich!

Mysigt hus
Mysigt hus med en härlig trädgård avsides all turism. Bra utrymmen och sköna sängar, lite litet köksbord för 5 personer dock. Mycket hjälpsam hyresvärd som tyvärr inte prata mycket engelska men det fungera bra med whatsapp. Åker gärna tillbaka!

Alles wunderbar
Trotz später Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich begrüßt, sogar der Kühlschrank war mit dem Nötigsten gefüllt. Der sympathische Vermieter hat uns immer wieder über Whats App mit Informationen zur Insel versorgt. Die Wohnung war sauber, Küche Terrasse und Garten sehr großzügig. Und der Pool bekam in den letzten 2 Tagen sogar eine Solarheizung, fürs nächste Mal. In fünf Gehminuten ist man im Ortskern und findet Bäcker, Tapas-Bar und Marktplatz. Das Meer kann man vom Pool aus sehen und auch hören. Zur schönsten Bucht mit Sandstrand in Sardina sind es ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Wir waren rund um sehr zufrieden.

exactamente lo que queríamos
El piso, jardín - todo era estupendo. La descripción de la propiedad es exactamente la realidad. Gáldar es un lugar tranquilo y una base excelente, bien comunicada, para ver toda la isla. Todos han tenido un tiempo maravilloso visitando las pequeñas playas cercanas, los restaurantes y bares de Gáldar, La Sardina, Agaete y Puerto de las Nieves. Lo apreciamos mucho.

Oase
Wir haben zu viert eine tolle Woche in Galdar verbracht. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation war gut und man konnte ihm jederzeit schreiben. Das Haus ist schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Traumhaft ist vor allem der Außenbereich: eine geschützte Terasse (Sofa/Esstisch), ein Garten mit Tisch und Stühlen (unter einer Pergola) und der tolle Pool. Es sind ausreichend Liegen vorhanden und sogar ein extra " Badehäuschen" mit Toilette. Vom Poolgeländer aus schaut man über Bananenstauden bis ans Meer. Es gibt überall Lampen und ausreichend Sitzmöglichkeiten. Auch die Umgebung hat uns gut gefallen. Nicht so touristisch, immer irgendwo eine Fiesta und Nahe an Las Palmas. Ein schöner Sandstrand ist ca. 6 m km entfernt. Im Süden ist man aber auch in einer guten Stunde.... Parken war manchmal etwas schwierig. Leider war die Woche viel zu kurz- aber wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt.

Une superbe location
Nous venons de passer 12 jours à Gran Canaria. Fuyant les foules et les grands complexes, nous nous sommes retrouvés chez Nicolas. Quel bonheur ! Un accueil des plus chaleureux et une maison vraiment formidable, spacieuse, très bien équipée et entretenue, avec une très belle terrasse et un beau jardin donnant sur une piscine très appréciée par les enfants et les adultes au retour de belles balades. Il ne manque rien, même les produits de première nécessité sont prévus par Nicolas. On trouve tout à proximité (5 mn à pied, magasins, restaurants, musée). Bref, une location comme on voudrait toujours les trouver, à conseiller sans hésitation. Encore un grand merci à Nicolas. René et famille

Preciosa casa en un entorno fabuloso
Nuestra estancia en esta casa fue maravillosa. Colmó todas las expectativas que teníamos. Para empezar, la vivienda estaba decorada con mucho gusto y tenía todo lo que podíamos necesitar. Nada más entrar nos llamó la atención el salón, con una moderna y bonita cocina donde no faltaba de nada. Las habitaciones eran espaciosas, siendo la principal una bonita suite con un elegante baño. Al avanzar hacia la zona exterior, la impresión fue en aumento. Al salir nos encontramos con un coqueto y confortable porche, donde pudimos disfrutar, desconectando del ajetreo de la capital. Pero es que al acceder al jardín, a la satisfacción inicial se le añadió una sensación de paz absoluta. Nosotros, que veníamos de la ciudad, en un instante sólo escuchábamos los pájaros y el silencio. El jardín era precioso y estaba muy bien cuidado, con muchos árboles y variedad de especies frutales, con cantidad de rincones donde poder relajarse. Para rematar, al adentrarnos, llegamos a la zona de relax, con una bonita piscina a la que no le faltaba de nada (incluido un baño propio con ducha) para disfrutar de una estancia inolvidable. Además todo ello daba a una balaustrada con unas espectaculares vistas a las plataneras y al mar. Tuvimos un tiempo estupendo, con lo que nuestros invitados se sintieron muy a gusto, por lo que nuestra satisfacción fue colmada plenamente. Quiero hacer especial mención a Nicolás, que nos recibió con muy buena cara, explicándonos todo lo relacionado a la propiedad, al jardín y a la piscina. Se palpaba en el jardín la dedicación y el amor que pone en cada centímetro cuadrado. Su único deseo era complacernos y lo consiguió totalmente. Carlos O.

Teníamos nuestras dudas ya que ibas a tener varios invitados, pero la casa se quedo estupenda, y valoramos mucho el comentario que has hecho de nuestra casa y nos anima a seguir, ya que viendo huéspedes tan estupendo como ustedes. Gracias sobre todo por el comentario a mi padre, porque ha dedicado mucho tiempo a esa casa y muchas veces no ha tenido el apoyo de nuestra familia, porque teníamos esas casas tan grandes. Das ist sehr toll da!
Phantastische Unterkunft im schönen Norden von Gran Canaria, tolle Räumlichkeiten, wunderschöner Garten, Pflanzen, Vögel, und die Terasse am Pool ist einfach unglaublich, wenn man Horizont mag. Weit besser ausgestattet als viele Ferienwohnungen, es gibt meht als 2,5 Teller, 2 Tassen und 4 Gabeln, alles da, und was fehlen sollte, werden die zufriedenen Gäste sicher gerne immer da lassen. Mietwagen braucht man, aber man kann in die Altstadt von Gáldar laufen, dort essen, tolle Höhlen besichtigen, einkaufen im Markt usw.. Zum nächstgelegenen Strand laufen ist möglich, aber nicht sehr romantisch, da man zwischen abgeschotteten Feldern auf der Straße läuft, zu einem schönen Strand, wo aber immer die rote Fahne oben war, Ende Oktober. Sardina, ein sehr schöner kleiner Strand mit Sand in 15 Minuten per Auto erreichbar. Einparken und Anfahren am Berg mus man mögen und können, aber eigentlich kein Problem. Der Vermieter und sein Vater, absolut reizend und zuvorkommend, wenn man ankommt, locken Obst, Käse, Gebäck und Wein, und dieser tolle Ort - ich bereue gerade nicht mehr dort zu sein. Hamburg bereitet sich auf einen weiteren miesen zu warmen Winter vor, umso besser in Gáldar Teil einer klaren Jahreszeit gewesen zu sein, eine Woche war eigentlich zu kurz, aber gut, und das ist ein Ort zum Wiederkommen.
