Very nice that there were many places to eat within walking distance of the hotel, kinda crappy that there was an event centre right next door however the concert was over by 11:30

If not for the general manager who was kind enough to apologized for the behavior of the front desk lady and assured me that he will address the lady's behavior who was rude and blamed me for the incident which was an accident to begin with.

For the size and price of this hotel my family and I expected much more. Rooms are ok but the bathroom shower simply doesn't cut it. Staff is clueless about the area and what the area offers as far as coffee and restaurants. Pool is great if you have small children but not as adults and it closes at 10. We have stayed at other hotels and they close at midnight with not kids allowed after 10. Will not be returning.

Having the water park in house is awesome and it’s right next to the Alerus center. I felt it was overpriced though. Almost all the ice machines were out of ice, water in vending machines was sold out. There was a breakfast buffet at one of the restaurants but it wasn’t good. We ate at the Tavern twice. Once the service was great and the next day so slow. The food was good though.

Check in was challenging as they didn’t have clean rooms for many people checking in. We had to wait over two hours in the lobby for a room. They also weren’t able to give us an estimate of how long it would take either so we didn’t want to leave the lobby for fear that they may call our names and we weren’t there and then would miss getting a room.

Our room was not ready at check in. When i asked how long it would be they said we have no idea. For paying 350 dollar's for one night i expect my room to be ready at check in or at least an estimated time. Not a rude snotty comment. The waterpark was extra money which is not listed anywhere when booking. Very disappointed with this stay. Absolutely ridiculous for the price i paid for one night that our room wasnt ready. Extremely disappointed

I didn’t care for having to pay extra money to use the splashes water park, especially when we’re already paying so much money to stay at that location. Even if it’s to use the playground and tubes. I also didn’t like the loud crowd that woke me up at 2am last night after all the people were let out of play makers? I wish a staff member would have asked them to leave or be quiet. The staff were friendly.
