My Daughter's 16th Birthday!
We had a great time! My Daughter and her friends enjoyed the hot tub and watching TV and movies. The Wii was a nice touch, they really enjoyed playing that. We brought our dog with us and the cabin was very pet friendly. The Host had dog treats and coffee cake to welcome us. This is a very clean, adorable, beautiful place to have a little getaway. Thanks again for a great trip!!

Perfect birthday getaway..
We have looked at booking this cabin several times and it's always full. Now that we finally got a chance to stay I see why. The cabin was a perfect place to have a relaxing, weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. Very clean and had everything you could need. We found a fresh loaf of cinnamon bread from the local bakery waiting for us when we arrived. Perfect with coffee in the morning. The little extras left by the hosts were thoughtful and very much appreciated. The jacuzzi was a great way to relax and loved that it had it's own room with a tv, refrigerator and small bar area. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Beautiful cabin!
I loved how the cabin was fully stocked with everything we could have needed and then some! The jacuzzi was wonderful and so was the fireplace. It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway to just unwind! We would definitely stay again.

This cabin is centrally located to many options for things to do within 3 hours of its location. It is as well appointed as our home with everything one could need. Lots of historical and general info about the area and how to make the best of your time there. Generously sized and perfect for up to a family of 4. Outdoor activities, including love for wildlife, in the yard as well as things to do indoors. Host and hostess are readily available for any questions or concerns, and give an extra welcome by leaving local yummy treats. They love and welcome dogs. We definitely and heartily recommend this property and its owners!

We had such a great stay at this beautiful cabin!! You're in the woods but still so close to all amenities and so many great destinations, i highly recommend this property! About an hour and 20 minutes from the Mackinac Bridge and the beautiful U.P. and about an hours drive from many beaches and coastal towns this is the perfect location for a nice getaway from the city. And after a nice long day exploring, you can come back to the cabin and relax in the amazing hot tub, that was a lifesaver for us!! And April and Charles are wonderful hosts and provide so much that all you really need to bring is clothes and food! We will definitely be staying here again as a family, and also looking to book a girls weekend there as well!

Very nice and clean place. The dog loved the backyard. Bonfire pit was great. We saw deer right outside the fence our second night. The treats (for the humans and the dog!) was such a thoughtful touch. Would love to come back sometime.

This is the 5-6 time we rented the cabin. Again it was a great time. The house was very clean and has all the amentaties one could need. Close to the river and golf coarse. Still haven't use the jacuzzi. Maybe next time.

Amazing cabin, so clean! I loved that everything was close and can be done in a week. We were able to do trails, see dunes of Michigan, Traverse City, and hubby's favorite Mackinac Island. Best part is coming home in time to enjoy the local diners every night and relaxing in the tub. Booking again next year with the kids!

We enjoyed from Monday to Saturday, relaxing at Northern Memories, taking day trips throughout the area, including several hikes. We recommend the trails at Hartwick Pines and at Camp Au Sable (the latter, program permitting). This was our third time enjoying the hospitality of Charlie and April. We hope to be back!

37th anniversary trip
This was our 3rd time staying at Northern Memories. They had lost power the second time we stayed, and they had communicated that to us. They assured us that we could still use everything in the cabin. They had a portable generator at the time, and they kept it running the entire weekend! Imagine our reaction when we arrived and they had installed an automatic generator! Needless to say, we had another great weekend, despite the rain on Friday and Sunday!

My wife and I have made this place a tradition for our anniversary. It's a perfect for both a weekend getaway, or a longer vacation. We loved the property and enjoyed our stay. It's a very quiet private location. It's exactly what we were hoping for. Despite being in a somewhat remote location we were close enough to drive to two state parks, Traverse City, Petoskey, the dark sky park and lots of little towns and markets.
