"Room was spacious and clean, pool area was big and accommodating. Does need attention with updating as a lot of the metal fixtures were all rusted. "

"I've stayed at every hotel in South Lake Tahoe. The Golden Nugget isn't my favorite. Check in takes forever because there are only two staff members manning the desk. The line is long... and make sure not to book dinner reservations before 6PM on the day of check in, you'll never make it in time. The entire property feels like it is under construction-- and the check in area and the tower we stayed in felt like it was miles from everything else. The room itself was just okay... It was on the smaller side, moderately clean, and had the darkest bathroom ever. The casino is relatively dead. Plus, it was the only one where I didn't win any money. The one thing I do love about this place is that they have the Oyster Bar-- it is THE BEST EVER! I guess if the deal was good enough, I would consider staying there again. "
