Nautilux Rethymno by Mage Hotels

"We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The service was excellent throughout, with friendly, attentive staff who were always available and made us feel genuinely well looked after. The food was a highlight. We had breakfast each morning and one evening meal, both of very good quality, with a wide selection and plenty of vegetarian and some vegan options. Breakfast wasn’t quite as hot as the evening meal, but was still very good. The restaurant itself is lovely, overlooking the pool. Our room was modern, clean and spacious, with a huge balcony, a lovely hot tub and a great second-floor view of the pool and sea. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lighting system was very useful. The pool area is beautiful, with plenty of space and no difficulty finding sunbeds. The beachfront location is a real highlight, with a gorgeous sandy beach and clear blue water. We even managed to get a cabana twice, free for guests of the hotel. The spa and indoor pool were also excellent. We both had massages, which were genuinely very good and better than many hotel spa treatments. The location is great, towards the end of the main strip but with restaurants and bars in every direction. The old town is around a 40-minute walk or 10-minute taxi ride away, and e-scooters & bikes are readily available nearby. We honestly have no negatives to mention, it is a fantastic hotel and an easy recommendation."

A warm and friendly welcome from the hosts of the property was also raher sweet way to feel connected to the property! "We had a wonderful few days at Aquila Porto Rethymno. The property is beautiful and well maintained and with many additional facilities and games than expected. We went mid-June and had a wonderful time at the pool and beach, easily finding chairs, however, the drinks service was slow. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. Very convenient location with easy walking distance to town."

"Great stay for our old town desires. Parking can be a pain BUT I would say it’s a better situation here then most hotel options that don’t offer onsite parking - we always were able to find parking Breakfast was good, location was great. Having a pool was great for my toddler. Ac got freezing in our room which was nice."
