Lovely old building, recently renovated right in the heart of the old town. This means transporting luggage a distance from the car but good communication re parking nearby. Inside the property, the duplex we were staying in meant climbing quite a lot of stairs with suitcases, although they did offer to help. Great that able to walk to restaurants and historical places and quiet area.

The Executive Duplex Suite itself was lovely and was the highlight of our stay. It was beautifully presented, in a fantastic location within the old town, and being upstairs meant it was surprisingly quiet. Unfortunately, the service and communication did not reflect the quality of the accommodation. At check-in, the gentleman at reception seemed uninterested and provided very little information. We were told the room would be ready in about an hour, which was perfectly reasonable, but nothing was explained about breakfast, reception hours, Wi-Fi, or how to contact someone if we needed assistance. When we returned, there was no one at reception. Our luggage had been moved into the suite but left downstairs, despite the narrow staircase and large suitcases. It would have been helpful if this had been mentioned or if the bags had been taken upstairs. I also had to message through Hotels.com for the Wi-Fi details. Rather than simply providing them, I was told to find the information sheet in the room. After explaining I couldn’t locate it, I was eventually given clearer directions. The communication throughout felt quite cold and unhelpful. The same happened at check-out. There was no one at reception, and we had never been told the procedure. I left the key on the desk and sent a message to let them know, but never received any acknowledgement. The accommodation is excellent, but the lack of hospitality and communication detracted from what could have been a wonderful stay.

Rethymno stay

Very impressive duplex apartment, with new top quality fittings. Very comfortable & clean. Ideal situation for exploring the old town with it's many shops, restaurants & great vibe. Would highly recommend.

Great location if you don't have a car !

We arrive by car, was not the best idea, because they are right in the old town. Very complicated when you arrive by car. The pictures give the impression the condo is bigger.

Das Apartment war sehr schön. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hat sich sofort um zusätzliche Bitten, wie beziehen des Sofas in der "Küche"gekümmert. Die Lage ist super. Man ist direkt in der Altstadt. Man könnte bemängeln, dass die Bar gegenüber laut ist, aber wenn man Fenster und Türen schließt, hört man gar nichts. Das einzige was man bemängeln kann, ist die Sauberkeit im Badezimmer. Bitte dort besonders in der Dusche besser putzen. Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Per il nostro primo viaggio a Creta non avremmo potuto trovare un alloggio migliore. L’Erotokritos si trova nella città vecchia di Rethymno tra viette caratteristiche e ottimi locali tipici. Hlias è adorabile, sempre solare e disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza. Le Suites sono moderne, ben curate e perfette per rilassarsi a fine giornata. Deliziosa sorpresa finale: la colazione offerta, well done, consigliatissimo.
