We were very lucky to get a parking space in the hotel car park which was great. We had room 103 which had a lovely view over the water. "The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings. I was lucky to receive a room which overlooked the lake. Although there was no balcony, I was able to open the window & hear the noise of the ducks and water rippling. Good selection of food in the bar & variety of seating with couple of tvs to watch the football. Rooms were a bit dated but the beds were comfortable & there was tea & coffee making facilities. The main reason I stated “dated” was the large wash basin looked like it was from the 70s & shower over the bath (one of my major bug bears. How many people want a bath in a hotel when they are travelling or only staying a night or two). Overall, value for money & taking into account the setting, I would certainly stay again."

"Nice hotel, an older building with a more modern extension. Professional friendly and service oriented staff everywhere. We just had an anniversary night away and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dinner was excellent and well served and waited on. Our bedroom wasn’t air conditioned and that would have been a bonus as it was in the 30s outside, however the fan in the room was a life saver. Other rooms do have aircon so it’s worth asking."
