3. Emily Moon River Lodge

Plettenberg Bay

"We had bats living in our roof, apparently knowingly by the owner (they built a house for them on the near cabin and they migrated to ours). We had to go to bed and sleep with constraint scratching and sliding noises, that was terrible. When we brought it to the attention of the team, they didn’t even bother apologising. The dinning experience over dinner and breakfast was terrible - worst service I’ve seen for a while and average food (it’s quite expensive considering its surroundings). Stay...

"Our stay at the little private cottage in "Fynbos Ridge" was an experience we'll treasure forever. Tucked away in the stunning landscapes behind Plettenberg Bay, this gem offered us an unforgettable blend of luxury, nature, and exceptional service, proving to be worth every penny. The highlight of each morning was breakfast on their terrace, where we were greeted with breathtaking views of the lush valley stretching out beneath us. Top Greater Plettenberg Bay Hotel Reviews

The Old Rectory

10/10 Excellent

"A beautiful gem in Plettenberg! Close to the beach and nice restaurants. Beautiful grounds (especially the pool area) and very nicely decorated common space! The rooms are spacious and comfortable with nice amenities. The restaurant on the property was excellent for dinner and the included breakfast was delicious! The staff really made this stay exceptional. They were so friendly and attentive, five star treatment. It’s located close to all of the hiking and other activities Plettenberg offers, which makes it the perfect choice for a stay. Highly recommend!"

Tamodi Lodge and Stables

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel has thought about everything. I have stayed in many outstanding properties including those from the leading hotels of the world collection. Tamodi is spectacular. The views, the service from the excellent staff and the interior design. I would have loved to stay for longer and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Tamodi."

The Ivory Haus

10/10 Excellent

"The Ivory Haus is a really cool place to stay. When you enter, there are log fires burning, friendly and attentive staff and a view over the bay from the 2 story outdoor terrace area. We were also given a free upgrade to a lovely spacious suite. The food and drinks are also great so we felt no need to go anywhere else at night"

Plett Quarter Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This was a great hotel to land for a couple nights in Plettenberg. The staff was delightful especially upon our arrival we were a bit frazzled from a long drive and Kima greeted us to help us Park and get our bags to our room. The in Hotel restaurant is excellent, we ate the oxtail and the breakfast is fabulous. Two doors away is a place called 11 that we rented bikes from. The property is clean and we had a City View Suite that had plenty of room to spread out and a balcony. The property is clean and has excellent security! We would absolutely stay here again."
