We were interested in upgrading our room for a private pool room since our room was directly facing the main pool, was kind of hard to enjoy the balcony when you can basically have a conversation with the people in the pool. We were told to come back every morning to ask, every morning the price changed and it was a little difficult to even find someone who could even check or do the room change for us really. The kids pool is basically useless since there’s kids jumping around the main pool anyway. The all inclusive breakfast is no where near greek food, was a Cuba buffet. Had to pay 3 euro for an espresso cause that’s not included. Finally I had enough and told them I wasn’t happy and I was checking out early, the AC was terrible, my fiancées asthma was acting up and there were ants in the room.... the manager didn’t even come see us, the girl at the front told me someone would call me. I never got a phone call! I even emailed the hotel to tell them how unpleasant my stay was and no one ever got back to me. They do not care. If you’re going for a nice greece trip, save yourself the disappointment.

air conditioning in the room was not working and we had ants in the room. Sea view with a building in between. The sea is a 5 min walk down a street, to get to a rocky beach with strong waves (cannot swim)

Great food with variety, friendly staff, rooms are VERY clean which is very important to me, also the entire hotel and pool are very well maintained, very calm and secluded 15 minutes drive from Chania, the beach that the hotel uses are 5 minutes walk on a small road, but still feels private, its an open sea not a marine

Nice hotel, a short walk from the beach
When I first arrived I was very dis heartened with how far away it was from the village but once we had a small taxi ride (costing only €9) I was very glad to be away from the hussel and bussel. Hotel was lovely and the staff were amazing and always happy to help. Food wasn't what we expected but we had recommendations from the very helpful taxi company for restaurant which were amazing! Pool facilities always clean, barmen always collecting glasses. Although we didn't use it we had free massage vouchers which I thought was a lovely touch. We were very lucky with our room, very spacious on the ground floor. Would definitely go back again! Very beautiful place.

La chambre spacieuse et confortable avec une bonne literie de qualité, et la piscine privée de bonne dimension à l’abri des regards extérieurs. Repas de bonne qualité avec un grand choix. Le personnel à l’écoute et très sympathique. Adresse à conserver.

Très plaisant
Idéalement situé entre La Canée (10/15min) et les activités à l’Ouest de la Crète (1h de Balos Beach et 1h30 d’Elafonisi). Les + : - amabilité du personnel - parking devant l’hôtel - grande piscine principale + piscine pour enfants séparée - prêt de serviettes de bain - petit déjeuner correct (pas exceptionnel mais suffisant) - chambre supérieure correcte - secteur calme Les -: - prix des chambres un peu cher pour la prestation (pendant notre séjour d’une semaine, nous avons été logés dans des hôtels moins cher avec autant de confort, voir plus) - nous avons pris la formule petite déjeuner. Si vous souhaitez prendre le buffet pour un midi seulement, c’est 15€ par personne : nous avons trouvé ça excessif pour le contenu du buffet, et avons préféré manger ailleurs.

Solimar kann ich nur empfehlen vom Service bis zur Rezeption, super nette hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, sehr gutes Essen, auf die Hygiene wird gesondert geachtet. Augenscheinlich sah man ständig Mitarbeiter die desinfiziert haben. Die Kellner waren sehr gepflegt und höflich, man hat sich wohl gefühlt. Moderne und saubere Zimmer, modern gestaltes Buffet sind weitere Pluspunkte. Immer wieder gerne.

Hyväkuntoinen hotelli ja huone, hyvät palvelut (mm. ohjattuja liikuntatunteja), all inclusiven ruuat pääosin erittäin hyviä ja kattava valikoima. Hieman syrjässä suhteessa muihin palveluihin mutta meille tämä oli pääosin plussaa. Ranta ei ollut mukava mutta Hotellin uima-allasalue oli sitäkin parempi.

Nice stay but to be improved
In overall, good potentials but food to be improved. - Location: The hotel is in a safe area but too too calm and there is nothing to do around. It's important to have a car, not even restaurants or bars around. The beach is not the main attraction: too wild. Not really a nice area to stay. - Hotel services: from an external point of view, the hotel is pleasant to see. Certainly one of the best in the area. The room was big and clean. The reception was nice and trying to please us. The restaurant/canteen was not great unfortunately. They were always at our back trying to remove our plates and everything. Don't leave your table for 2sec... This was really annoying. Food: Unfortunately the food was not tasty at all. We do not recommend the all-in. The buffet was not extraordinary. But I guess this is typical of the region. We went to the hotel next door (5star - Asterion Hotel) and despite it is a 4 star Solimar aquamarine was by far much better.

Très bel Hôtel
Très bel hôtel, belle infrastructure, et très bien entretenu. Hôtel plutôt familial, calme et reposant Réception très sympathique, Les serveurs également ainsi que le vigile ;). Le personnel est chaleureux et gentil. La restauration manque tout de même de qualité. C’est toujours les mêmes plats qui sont proposés, meme desserts, Pas de grillade, très peu de poisson (dommage pour une île comme la Crête) il une bonne marge de progression sur ce domaine car le restaurant est sous exploité , il y a du potentiel (beau cadre, équipement etc) . Du coup même avec la formule all inclusive on préférais manger à l’exterIeur. Mais le reste est très bien. Propre, sécurisé, bien agencé et bien équipé !Mais le reste est très bien.

Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal . Essen war hervorragend, besonders war das privat Pool , Alles sauber und gepflegt der Kiesstrand am Meer war schön leider hatten wir sehr hohe Wellen und konnten nicht im Meer schwimmen. Schöner Urlaub!

L'hôtel est joli et la piscine est très bien. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la proximité de l'hôtel avec la plage rend le cadre quasi paradisiaque. Mais cependant, petit bémol sur l'alimentation qui manque de produits frais et la redondance des plats.

Det vänligaste bemötande vid incheckning jag någonsin upplevt. Trevligt hotelll även om det låg lite på sidan från allt. Snygga städiga och rena rum. God mat och rymligt poolområde. Vänlig personal. Dock ett stort minus för väldigt ofräscha pooltoaletter!

Solimar est un très bel hotel avec une piscine très agréable pour les enfants et un buffet nous faisant découvrir différentes spécialités crétoises. Nous avons un petit bémol sur le restaurant de l'hôtel que nous avons trouvé moins bon que le buffet. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et nous recommanderons cet hôtel.

Mainio lapsiystävällinen hotelli
Lasten kanssa matkustavalle hyvä hotellivalinta. Lapsille löytyy hieno allasalue ja leikkipaikka, jossa hotellin puolesta lastenhoitaja koko päivän ajan. Alueella pääsi liikkumaan vaivattomasti lastenrattaiden kanssa. Hotellin ravintolan buffetissa monipuolinen ja herkullinen ruoka. Palvelu ravintolassa pääasiassa ystävällistä, mutta välillä tarjoilijat unohtivat juomatilaukset ja pöytiinohjausta joutui odotella. Hotellin oma ranta melko kivikkoinen ja syveni melko nopeasti. Paikalla oli rantavahti osan päivästä. Rannalla siistit aurinkotuolit ja - varjot. Vastaanoton väki oli todella avuliasta ja ongelmat ratkottiin nopeasti. Hotellin läheltä löytyy apteekki, mutta ostoksille joutui lähtemään joko Plataniakseen tai Haniaan. Haniaan taksimatka maksoi n. 25€/suunta. Hotellin vierestä kulki myös bussit ainakin Plataniakseen. Hotellin yhteydessä pieni kauppa, jossa suht. kattava tarjonta mm. vesileluja, aurinkorasvoja ym. lomamatkalla tarvittavaa tavaraa. Valikoimassa myös vaippoja ja vähänlaisesti lastenruokia. Kaikin puolin hyvä lomakokemus ja voisin majoittua samassa hotellissa myöhemminkin.

Très bon séjour à l hôtel solimare aquamarine. Surclassés suite à un pb de disponibilité de chambre. Jolie suite supérieure avec piscine privée et vue mer. Accueil parfait. Chambre vaste moderne. Hotel entièrement rénové cet hiver. Je le conseille vivement

Nice all-inclusive
Nice stay for a weekin July 2015. 80% of the hotels other guests were Polish and all program was run with Polish guides. Nothing wrong with that though. Hotel needs small renovation here and there. Food was ok, but with weeks visit started repeating itself. Allinclusice is necessary here beacause it is quite far away from restaurants. Beach is quiet and with rough sand. With our visit the waves were quite high. Pool is 140cm deep and kids pool is small so kids need to know how to swim here. Overall ok visit with kids.
