Superb stay at Veneto. Arrived early and asked for room with outdoor patio which was quickly taken care of. Room was gorgeous as is entire hotel. Anastasia at the front desk is a gem and helped me with customs shipping label to send package to US, laundry service and many other things. Restaurant was closed due to off-season but was able to get a bottle of wine as they have wine selections available and even wine tasting during peak season. Room was gorgeous and spacious (rm 104), mini fridge, wine glasses, bottled water, silverware etc. Shower was hot with rainfall shower and the bed was so comfortable with high quality linens. Heaters worked wonderful as it was chilly and raining. Great location, short walk to restaurants, square or waterfront. Cars cannot get directly to hotel so you will need to walk @ 200 meters. Best place for taxi is north on the Main Street as more room for taxi to park and load/unload. Walk is not bad and luggage with wheels travel easy on the cobblestone. Will definitely return to Veneto in the future and highly recommend.

Great shopping and restaurants within very short walking distance. However, the property is not accessible by car so you have to haul your suitcases a couple of blocks.

First of all…the hotel is beautiful-ti-fuuul! Second of all, it is very conveniently located to so many dining and shopping options! But the staff made it over the top…they were kind, caring, and went over and beyond to accommodate any need necessary…from something as simple as an iron, calling for a taxi, up to watching over a friend that was just not ready to return to her room after many drinks and making sure she got back to her room safely. The only one thing that I will advise, is the photos of the room upon reservation may not be the same room you will get. There are many different room styles, but with that said, they are all different but nice!! I will absolutely stay here my next trip back to Rethymno!!

What a gem! We were four people in a two-room apartment that overlooked a lovely courtyard. The staff was warm and friendly. After finding out that I had not seen my sister for nearly two years, they arranged for us to have a premium dining experience shortly after our arrival. The apartment was light and airy with two balconies. The french doors brought in some wonderful smells of seafood and ocean breezes. The city, itself, is gorgeous. We enjoyed walking the cobbled streets, stopping in a few shops, and stopping for a few cocktails along the way. Between Rethmyno and Chania, I think I just slightly prefer Rethmyno. Its old town is similar, but smaller than Chania's. The old castle area and cliftside restaurants of Rethymnon just make it slightly more beautiful, to me.

We loved our three nights at the charming Veneto Hotel, well situated in walkable Rethymno. Each room throughout the hotel is unique, and authentically appointed in antique Cretan style. The bed was extremely comfortable with luxurious linens. Breakfast was delicious and ample. We found all the staff to be friendly, informative and helpful. We highly recommend it!

Beautiful hotel. The restaurant wasn't open for dinner, but it's the off season and there were other restaurants in the area. The staff did a good job cleaning my room but never replenished the coffee. They also forgot the complimentary sparkling wine until I reminded them of it. I didn't realize there were a couple of flights of stairs to get to my room, and there was no elevator, and I'm getting older. It was a minor chore to do the climbing. But I probably needed the exercise, so I won't complain about that. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Central Hotel in old Rethymno
A great Boutique hotel in the centre of the old town, as soon as you step out the door you're met by restaurants and shops. The staff were great and very accommodating going the extra mile to ensure your stay was perfect. The hotel is not for sunbathers unless you want to walk to the local beach but for visitors wanting to experience the old town this is a perfect setting. I will be staying here again if back in the area, cannot fault this great hotel.

This property is a gem! It also looks exactly like the photos. The common spaces, courtyard is exceptionally beautiful and the restaurant is gourmet and really fresh and delicious. I felt like I was staying in someone's home and I honestly wish I could have stayed here longer.

Veneto Boutique Hotel in Rethymno is in a fantastic location in the Old Town section of the city, near great restaurants (including right next door!), sights, and shops. It was just the first week of June and coming out of COVID so the restaurant at the hotel was not open yet but it looks amazing and was highly recommended. The room was comfortable, but I don't recommend the room (4 I believe) most highly because it was fairly dark and felt closed in. The sitting room had no windows and the bedroom only had the door going out to a small courtyard. The courtyard was somewhat nice, but not at all private. The room above us often played music loudly - I think to cover the sounds of our own conversations since we were right below their window. Every other aspect of our stay was great. The breakfast was delicious and varied, the staff were pleasant and very helpful, and the location is fantastic.

Charming hotel in the old town
A great historical hotel with a medieval charm. The hotel has a nice central location in the old town but also a walking distance to the beach, making it idea for city break stay. The restaurant down stars looked really lovely, but unfortunately was yet to reopen due to Covid.

I have stayed in many hotels in dozens of countries, but Veneto Boutique is one of the most charming I have ever seen. Located in the heart of the Old City, it is near everything. But the beauty of the place--it is simply breathtaking. We could only stay one night, but I will always remember the magic of this hotel.

Great hotel in the old town of Rethymnon
Beautifully designed hotel in the heart of the old town of Rethymnon, walking distance from everything with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed, overall very pleasant stay. Parking in the old town was a bit of a problem but they directed me to one of the nearby public parking areas a few minutes walk from the hotel. GPS was a bit finicky in the area so the receptionist went outside to find and greet me when I had trouble finding the place. They also recommended places to see around the city. Overall I'd be happy to stay again some day.

We could not fault this hotel! It was spotless, comfortable and beautiful. The food was amazing, and the staff so helpful and sweet. Marina gave us wonderful recommendarions for rooftop bars and local tavernas. She was so spot on! We really enjoyed our 3 nights. I would definitely recommend the Veneto!

Beautiful, tastefully decorated boutique hotel near the center of the old city. Area feels safe and walkable with many nearby shops and restaurants. Has an associated restaurant that’s open during high season and an art shop of creations by local artists. Good breakfast selection. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. WIFI is spotty at times but useable. Service is excellent. They also provided great restaurant recommendations and helped arrange transportation.

Really enjoyed staying at this property. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property itself was superb in a historical sense. The problems I have are with the graffiti that is on the surrounding buildings and the unevenness of the stairs. While rustic, I was worried about my elderly parents ascending and descending those stairs every day.

Fascinating building in the heart of the old town.
Beautiful building packed with history. Suite was delightful and very comfortable. Location in old town was excellent. Breakfast adequate but not a great deal of choice. Cooked breakfast was OK but eggs were overcooked and scrambled egg was rubbery. Plenty of pastries and cakes but I would not normally have that for breakfast. Evening meal was OK but quite formal compared to some of the livelier places nearby. Bit pricey for facilities on offer but I suspect we were paying for a slice of history.

Lovely kind and welcoming people at the hotel. The location is excellent to discover the old town of Rethimno. The breakfast is a delicious surprise of cretan delicacy rather than the common english or american breakfast, served in a very beautiful place in their restaurant. Easy access to paid parking spots outside the old town. Only drawbacks are the too soft bed, which can be uncomfortable for some and the stairs you need to go to the upper floor rooms (staff is very willing to help with the luggage).

my husband and I spent our 2 nights here to celebrate our anniversary during our trip to Crete. Yiannis and his staff are the most welcoming and lovely people they were so hospitable to us and made sure we had everything we needed each day. The hotel is in the heart of old town rethymno we couldn't of asked for a more romantic, traditional cretan experience. The food in the restaurant was beyond delicious and thank to Yiannis who manages the wine cellar he paired the best wines with our dinner orders. We love The Veneto and will visit again when we come back to Crete.

Magical & Elegant Hotel In the Heart of Rethymno
We had a wonderful stay at Veneto! It was like a magical place and so elegant. We loved all the historical touches of the hotel. It's located in the heart of Rethymno and walking distance to everything. We also enjoyed a fantastic dinner experience with their personal sommelier taking great care and showing us the wine cellar. He also paired wine with our food and it was probably the best meal we had all trip. We were even able to buy some wine to bring home. The entire experience was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be back!
