Dear Anonymous guest, coming in a greek island in the winter time, is a choice. Lots of people love it since it is quiet, not touristic and the rates are like 3 times lower than the summer. I am sorry it rained and it was cold and not a lot of restaurants were open, it is winter. The house you describe, i cannot figure out which one is like you describe, maybe you are confused with another property you stayed, our houses are clean and with new matresses, not smelly as you say. Dear Jodi, thank you for staying with us. Our furniture are not updated, and no chair had an issue. We spent more than 40 messages during your stay and you never mentioned that. There are some steps to come to us like in all Oia, not 50 as you mention, maybe 25. Did you see a property in Oia with no steps? The village is built on the cliff, thus the view and the atmosphere. If you wanted no steps you should have stayed in Kamari or Perissa, but no view and atmosphere there. Also before you come we spent lots of emails, never asked about the steps. The bathroom is built in a traditional way, our guests like it, but as we are not a hotel in a city, tradition plays a role in our houses and we like to maintain it that way. Again, 40 messages and you never said anything. It looks like you wanted to stay in a major hotel in a major city with no steps and no tradition. I am afraid you shoose the wrong island. Maybe next time stay in Athens or book a 5 star all inclusive hotel somewhere. We go for atmosphere, views and tradition together with modern amenities. Thank you

Dear Lu, all our gueests receive more than 3 automated emails with check in instructions, information about the island etc. you never replied to non of them, nor did you answer your phone when we called on the morning of the reservation so to arrange check in with you. If you had replied, you wouldnt wait 20 minutes. Our balocny is located just above the house and offers one of the best views of Oia, right in the center of it. Yes you need to walk 10 meters to go to it, since it is above the house. But houses are like this on the island, cave houses, tradition sometimes does not go with comfort in a major city like you probably thought. The house is named Villa Ariadni Volcano view House, thus offering volcano views. We do not serve water everyday, since the houses are self catered, and of course wince they are houses, not a hotel. Soap and body wash was there for you and as the cleaning lady told me, you used them. Please be honest in your reviews, and before you travel somewhere its best to contact the owners, as they have tried to contact you unsuccesfully many times before you come.
