"We had a great experience with Dawson Inn. The room was exceptionally clean and smelled fresh. The Manager, Lisa, was very friendly. There is a gas station and small store next to the hotel where we purchased made-to-order sandwiches and water on our way to the New River Gorge National Park. The hotel is 15 min away from the Sandstone Falls Visitor's Center. The price is right and a gem for those visiting the area or just passing through."

"Booked and prepaid for my room. Arrived and was informed they had no rooms available. Spent 30 minutes working through a refund process when I should’ve been getting to sleep. Mgr was nice. Couldn’t find a hotel anywhere! Horrible experience considering. "

"I will never stay here again. Owner does not list your property is being actively recorded and there is a bunch of hidden cameras across from the cabin number 1 in a tree that are very well disguised. EVERY site is recorded 24/7 definitely violating laws."

"This little house was spotless and ready for whatever you needed. From paper plates and plastic ware, to pretty dishesn glasses, silverware. There is a perfect coffee nook with a very nice selection of coffees, snacks, chips. The couch is a dream, and so is the large, covered deck. Its up high and catches all the breeze.. The location is freaking cool. This little back road takes you to the house, and its such a cool drive. Its so peaceful. No traffic. Just the wind in the trees and birds singing. I loved this housen and the sweet people who own it. So many thoughtful touches. Excellent price. Excellent service. Excellent place. Thank you!!"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cottage! From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. The space is incredibly cozy and beautifully decorated—it truly feels like a home away from home.The location was perfect for our visit to the New River Gorge area, and we especially loved relaxing at the house—it was such a peaceful spot for reading and unwinding. We also enjoyed the stunning views around the property.One of the most special parts of our stay was the time we spent together as a family. Being without internet actually helped us reconnect with our three teenagers in a meaningful way. We really appreciated the thoughtful touch of having games like UNO and Jenga available—it made our evenings so much fun and memorable.Every detail of the cottage made our stay comfortable and truly unforgettable.We’re so grateful for the stay and would absolutely love to come back again.
