We are located in Greve, just a stone’s throw from Florence, in the most authentic heart of Tuscany, nestled in the enchanting scenery of the Chianti hills.

Casa Merlot is ideal for 2–3 people, featuring a living room with a kitchenette, a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and a bathroom with a shower.
The apartment is on a single level (the staircase shown in the photos is closed off), furnished in a traditional Tuscan style, and equipped with every comfort, including free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a large-screen TV.
A large outdoor area shared with the other apartments in the complex features a mini-pool, a sun deck, a spacious patio, and a barbecue, perfect for relaxing and socialising outdoors—whether enjoying a refreshing swim, an aperitif, or a barbecue under the clear sky of the unspoiled countryside. The mini-pool is not heated, so it is open and available only during the warmer months (approximately from April 25 through mid-October).

L'alloggio It is located in the centre of Greve in Chianti, just a short walk from the town’s main square (Piazza Matteotti). It is an excellent choice for those seeking the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside without sacrificing the convenience of having all amenities, shops, restaurants, and tourist and cultural attractions nearby.

Greve is an excellent starting point for those wishing to explore the Chianti region, as it is situated roughly halfway between Florence and Siena along the Via Chiantigiana, which connects the two cities by traversing the entire beautiful Chianti valley. From Greve, you can easily reach all the main destinations in the area, including wineries, castles, and the many charming medieval villages typical of this enchanting part of Tuscany—first and foremost the nearby Montefioralle Castle, located about 2 km from Casa Vacanze Alessandro and accessible via a pleasant walk.

Florence is about 25 km away and is easily accessible by bus; the bus stop is right in front of the house.

Just a short walk from the accommodation, you’ll find a motorcycle and bicycle rental shop.

Street parking is permitted. Parking spaces in front of the house are metered from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (1 euro per hour or 6 euros for the entire day) and free overnight from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.; free parking spaces are available about 100 metres from the house.

An exclusive privilege for guests of Casa Merlot is that they are also special guests at one of the most traditional restaurants in the area. In fact, Alessandro is not only the owner of the apartment but also the owner of the restaurant-pizzeria-wine bar “La Cantina,” located right next to the accommodation. So it’s not just a home, but also a treat for the palate, with hearty breakfasts, traditional lunches and dinners, tempting aperitifs, and afternoon snacks. The restaurant-pizzeria-wine bar “La Cantina” is open every day from 10 a.m. through midnight without a break. Alessandro welcomes you at any time of day for a meal, a tasty snack, or simply a cheerful toast. With every meal, you’ll be offered an aperitif and a delicious selection of homemade desserts.
