Charming former Villa just across the street from Lake Como with fantastic views of the Lake, Bellagio on the far shore, and the mountains beyond. We ate dinner (simple 3 course dinner, but well prepared and presented and quite tasty) in the small dining room while gazing at the incredible view. Breakfast (typical European fare of cold cuts, fruit, breads, pastries, and yogurt) was in adjacent sunroom with the same stunning views. The was a lift to get luggage to second floor room which was a nice size with a small balcony. Bathroom was small but serviceable and clean. Bed was comfortable and they did get softer pillows for my wife. Internet service was a bit weak and I had to go down to sitting room to get a really good connection. We did not get to use the pool up the hill behind the Villa, but it looked inviting. We were able to walk to Villa Carlotta, boat dock for the ferry to Bellagio, or the slow boat that stops all along the Lake. One hop away from Lenno and the Villa Balbianello, which is a must see. We will always remember our visit here and the fantastic sights. Paolo ran the front desk and served our breakfast and dinner. He was a wealth of information and very friendly and helpful. Spoke excellent English for which I am grateful.
