"Our room should have been cleaner. The tub was dirty and there was some dust on the switches. The patio door was open when we checked in.. The room location was not good as we looked out onto a patio that looked like an employee smoking area. The carpets in the hotel were old and in some areas thread bare. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station, so the location is convenient."

"Let's start with the pros: This property is a ~5 minute walk from the Arezzo train station, so it is potentially very convenient to use if you are visiting other towns by train each day. The place was adequately cleaned and maintained, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As mentioned by others, the AC worked well in our unit, even though it blew directly on our faces as we slept (not comfortable). Breakfast was ok considering the price, and they had some light kitchen facilities if you wanted to make something or reheat something. There is a decent Conad City grocery store immediately next door to the property -- very nice!! Breakfast on the terrace was really nice, too. Cons: The major drawback to this property was the shower: it would not maintain water temperature or pressure, to the point of being dangerously unsafe. The water temperature would spike without warning to 60-70 deg C. Each one of us were burned multiple times while trying to shower. It was tricky to get out of the shower without tripping over the toilet for one of the older members of our party. This is hard for them to fix, but folks need to be aware of the safety hazard. The bedroom was dark and drab (no color or art). Overall, the stay was "ok", but there may be nicer places to stay if you're going to be in Arezzo for multiple days. Plus, Arezzo may not be the best "home base" choice, but that's a different story."

"Pros: From the first night it felt like home away from home. The kitchen was very well equipped. Plenty of cookware, glasses, and dishware. The pool was wonderful, though too cold to get into because it was too early in the season. The view from the pool was indescribable! We had two dinners prepared for us. I would highly recommend at least one dinner being prepared. The food was better than the restaurants we dined at. The freshness could be tasted. Our first night we made our own simple pasta dish. We used some of Linda’s herbs in that meal after grabbing essentials from Gala, one of the local grocery stores. The villa is very centrally located and we were able to to see so much of the Toscana Hills. Cons: Not suitable for mobility impaired individuals. The many stairs were not as horrible as not having a lavatory on the first floor when getting back from a day of site-seeing.I would happily rent again. I also would recommend this villa to persons I know that are interested in a very large villa with plenty of bedroom space and a view that is awe-inspiring!"

"The room was very cold, and despite raising this with staff, I was initially told that the heating was functioning correctly. After complaining again, the heating was eventually turned on, which was appreciated; however, the unit was extremely loud and could not be used throughout the evening. The walls are also very thin, and noise from neighbouring rooms is easily heard. The room did not include any tea or coffee facilities, which I would consider a basic expectation for a four-star hotel. I also requested an iron but was informed that one was not available and that I would need to pay €5 for a shirt to be ironed instead. On a positive note, the breakfast was of good quality and the staff were very friendly. However, I would choose to stay at a different hotel on my next visit."
