Founder's Brook Motel and Suites

"I happily stayed here twice. The location is minutes off Route 24, about 25 minutes from Downtown Newport. It's also close to charming Bristol, which has many museums, great shops and restaurants. Also close to Tiverton, which also has great restaurants like The Red Dory. You're .6 miles from a public beach (Island Park). It's very rocky (wear water shoes). I was the only person in the water but it was warm with gentle waves. Most people sit on the beach or walk their dogs. Flo's Drive-In restaurant is across the street, famous for fried clams, but seasonal hours. Portsmouth has a huge car Museum, The Newport Car Museum (Newport's Audrain is a great, small car Museum). Portsmouth also hosts wonderful dinner trains. The motel looks like a 50's throwback motel village but it's updated with amenities, Keurig coffee makers, mini fridges, iron/steamers, TV. The grounds are beautifully kept with flowering shrubs and picnic tables. The staff and housekeeping are very friendly and accommodating. Great value."

"We loved our trip to Portsmouth! The house is in a great location with easy access to Tiverton, Bristol, Middletown and Newport. Our dog especially loved the beach just down the steps from the back door each morning"

"This was a great modern property that was extremely clean and family/dog friendly. You can tell the owners have paid great attention to detail, including fresh flowers, to make it a great stay for guests. It was walkable to restaurants and an easy drive to all our favorite coastal towns. It was easy to find and had all the amenities we needed for a long weekend getaway. Being at the beach, if you’re going to be there more than a long weekend it would be a good idea to pack some extra clothes and towels until this cozy cute new property has a washer and dryer up and running. The rear yard is not fully fenced so that you do have a water view in the back over a hedge row. If your dogs are escape artists, you’ll want to make sure to bring a lead. We had a great stay and recommend it!"

"We absolutely loved staying at Sea Change Cottage. The house and the view were perfect—it truly felt like a little piece of heaven. Noelle, our host, was a wonderful communicator and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The location was also ideal: so close to Newport and all of its attractions, but far enough away to avoid the crowds and craziness. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Excellent communication with very easy check in and check out process. House was clean and tidy. Big bedrooms and easily sleeps 6 adults. Huge fenced yard with grill made it easy to cook in. Extra camp chairs on porch and nice patio set out back. Only negative was only having one bathroom for a three bedroom house but we made it work….. and it was clearly listed as one bathroom. Had a great stay."

"House was a great location, quiet development, beautiful views from the windows, short walk to the water. The house was closed up tight when we arrived and because there is no AC on the second floor it was very hot and stuffy when we first checked in, so the first night sleeping was a bit uncomfortable. The outdoor area isn't really kept up, and there was no grill on the property. The kitchen has all the essentials but no extras. We used the kitchen a lot and I was at times scrambling to find enough baking dishes. Some of the bed coverlets could be freshened up."
