Masseria Angiulli Piccolo is a recently restored 16th-century vineyard estate located in the countryside of Grottaglie, Salento, Puglia. The masseria, a fortified farmhouse typical of the region, is surrounded by 85 acres of vineyards, olive groves, and fig, pear, and pomegranate trees. The large pool offers plenty of space for sunbathing with views of the Salento hills.

This gorgeous farmhouse in the Salento region offers the perfect blend of traditional, contemporary, glamorous, and rustic styles, making it the ideal destination for friends and families and comfortably accommodating 13 guests. Originally built to withstand attacks by invaders, the structure is typical of Puglia, featuring reinforced stone and brick construction along with authentic historic details.
Some original details were lost to time and neglect, but we have carefully restored them with meticulous attention to authenticity during the renovation. Constructed largely from locally quarried tuff—a type of sandstone typical of the area—the vast vaulted stone ceilings span expansive rooms, recreating the historic character and details of the original home. Designed to adapt to the seasons, the thick stone walls and floors keep the interiors cool in summer and warm in winter.
In keeping with the scale of the rooms, the furnishings are minimalist and elegant, featuring both rustic and modern pieces designed to harmonise with the architecture and structure in a seamless blend of old and new, including handcrafted pottery from the nearby town of Grottaglie, famous for its ceramics.
The main house features a great room with a massive fireplace, along with a bright indoor dining area and a modern industrial kitchen perfect for entertaining. Upstairs, there are four en-suite bedrooms and a roof terrace; downstairs, there is another en-suite double bedroom, and two additional en-suite bedrooms in the adjacent guest quarters.
Surrounded by organic almond, apricot, pear, and fig trees, as well as extensive olive groves and vineyards, the property is a vast and productive working farm that is as lovely as it is useful. There is a seasonal vegetable garden that provides the property with ingredients for cooking, and two terraces for entertaining and dining al fresco. The pergola-covered terrace sits next to the large swimming pool, and the spacious, sunny courtyard offers additional space with grassy areas and lovely views—a place where guests can sunbathe, take in the scenery, savour local organic foods, or set out to explore one of Italy’s most beautiful and traditional regions.
