I really enjoyed my stay here. Beautiful hotel, good size room with a terrace. Hot shower with great water pressure, air conditioning worked well and was very quiet. Very comfortable bed. It was great to have a security on the grounds 24/7, although I didn’t feel unsafe in the area. Lots of cafes and restaurants very close by. It is one of the best streets in Colonia Americana. Lots going on but surprisingly not noisy.

The location was good and you felt safe, the staff and specially the security team were amazing. The room was comfortable and was used for the purpose of sleeping. If you are ok not having a gym, food or alcohol drinks then this is the place for you. Thank you for the staff for making my stay a good one

Perfect location, charming rooms, great shower, comfortable bed, and great staff. One small note - the wifi password didn't work in my room but my friend has no issues in hers. Would absolutely return! So many great bars, restaurants, and shops nearby.

To me, this is the finest hotel in Colonia Americana section of Guatemala. Everything is perfect. The larger upgraded king-size bedroom was spectacular in every way. The Tree line Street has many cafés and is nice to walk on even if you aren’t necessarily going somewhere and is not far from the main nightlife street in this region. Finally, the staff, especially Lettie is superb.

Perfect, and perfectly situated in the best neighborhood. This historic building is charming and the decor is lovely with a super comfy bed. I was in room 8 which is perfect for a solo traveler. The staff are super helpful. Colonia Americana is the coolest part of the city and Gala Hotel is on the nicest street full of grand homes, coffeeshops and restaurants. Walkable to the city center and near to the wonderful University Art Museum. (4/5 for amenities only because the pool was undergoing maintenance when I visited.) Such a lovely place to stay.

What a lovely boutique hotel. We had an amazing stay for my wife’s 40th celebration. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The breakfast as also very delicious. Would love to stay again.

My partner and I were stuck in Guadalajara during the security incident on Feb 22. The staff were absolutely incredible, going above and beyond to keep us well-fed and safe when the city was shut down. I am truly grateful for the kindness they showed. Prior to the incident, we really enjoyed all of the cafes in the neighbourhood. The hotel is in an excellent location.

Really cool vibe for a hotel and nice having the attached coffee house restaurant. Door locks were not working while we were there but the staff were great in letting you in whenever you need.
