This is a wonderful place to stay, with one exception. It is at the top of a steep hill that only very fit people can walk up quickly. In addition, within the B&B you have to climb narrow stairs to get to the roof where they serve a wonderful outdoor breakfast with amazing views of the city. On the positive side, after going back and forth to the main part of the city, you won't need to go to the gym.
The owners are wonderfully kind people who are enthusiastic about their delightful city. Guanajuato is an often-overlooked gem: a small safe city with beautiful colonial buildings, delightful winding narrow streets, wonderful food, and excellent small museums. It is justifiably popular with Mexican tourists. Foreign tourists are also there, but they are far from the majority.
I highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is not afraid to walk up 2 or 3 steep blocks or is happy to pay for a taxi from the lower part of the city. Walking down is no problem.
