"Lovely large room with plenty of space. Big double bed and bunk beds, lovely bathroom with rainforest shower. Air con was lovely and cold. Lovely quiet area and perfect if you are going to Europapark or Rulantica as it’s only a 5 minute drive away. Staff were great and breakfast is very very good. Wonderful selection of bread, pastries, cold meats, cheese, cereals, yoghurts and hot breakfast. Pancakes and omelettes also cooked to order. Would definitely stay again."

"We were hesitant to write a review of our experience staying in this hotel, however i feel this must be known for future guests if they are considering staying in this hotel. We were told on the day of arrival that they don't have hot water, and heating system has broken down. We were also told we were the only 2 guests in the hotel. The owner of the hotel replied he doesn't know when this will get fixed and most likely will be after we leave. We found it hard to believe, as a running business this cannot be fixed as soon as possible, or fixed on the same day. We endured 3 nights and 4 days showering with cold water. There was no heating system and we were given a portable heater only. On our last day we were leaving, we learned he was expecting guests with a young family arriving the same day. It was clear from that day we felt fooled and cheated by the owner for purposely turning the heating system off as we were the only 2 adult guests there in the whole hotel. We thought to ourselves surely the guests with young children will require hot water and heating. After reading the most recent review its seems obvious our thoughts were right, the owner can't be bothered to turn on the water heating system for us because we are only 2 adult guests, maybe to save money. There was no mention of no hot water or heating system from the young family so i would assume it was turned on back for them, very dissapointing for us and in a way has spoilt our stay."

"I was initially happy with this hotel because it was a good price and breakfast was included. The facilities were good for what we needed. However, I think it is not ideal that the reception is not open in the evening or that you can't contact anybody unless in very urgent cases. My daughter was sick and if I had been anywhere else, I would've been able to get new bedding and towels straight away. Also, it was very hot in the room and there is no air-conditioning, not even a fan. I can't imagine what it would be like to stay in the height of summer. We left 1 night early mostly to make an early flight in Basel but also to enjoy a cooler stay elsewhere. "

"We arrived late and the staff were very accommodating. Room was nice. Shower took a long time to warm up. Curtains could do with tidying up a bit - they didn’t really cover the windows properly. But other than that couldn’t fault the room at all."

"For the price you pay, it’s not bad. The decor may need an update, but the pictures online are true to form. My only real gripe was the plastic mattress protector on the obviously new mattress- you’ll wake up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night. Nevertheless, I still give my overall experience 5 stars because of the hotel’s staff. They went above and beyond to help me from restaurant reservations, what points of interest to see, and even printed several documents I needed for me. At the end of the day, a hotel is really just a fungible service - a bed to sleep in. The difference is service. I would definitely recommend. "
