Room was very spacious and clean, mattresses were old and not very comfortable. Breakfast had an excellent choice and was very nice, the only poor item was the coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice grounds and swimming pool. Quiet location away from the main road.

Fantastic location

Fantastic location which is quite and peaceful location with wonderful mature trees. The service provided by Achini at the front office is well and beyond what was expected. She is a true asset to this hotel. If you want to see the elephants, this is a wonderful base for your safari.

Worth a stay! Very nice head to toe!

Very nice location and great resort. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Rooms are very nice and quiet (rate thing in Sri Lanka!). Buffet breakfast incredible. We really enjoyed dinner too.

Nice place with friendly staff, a little disorganised at times, restaurant was a bit like a canteen and much of the food poor. Lovely location though and organised a good safari for us, would have expected more overall for the price though

Really loved the garden setting of this property. The evening live background music was also superb. We found Shushani on the front desk extremely pleasant to deal with and she was always concerned about our comfort. As well Ruwan from the dining room gave us excellent and attentive service. These two individuals made us feel very comfortable. The room was always cleaned very nicely and was very comfortable. The bathroom even though it had all the necessary ammenities just might need to be updated a bit as it looked old. Everything else for example, the food, the layout and the location of the hotel was superb. I do recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay close to Dambulla.

The property of the hotel was nice with the lake, pool, an monkeys entertaining the alfresco dining. However we were put in dated room that had mold issues and required a cleaning. Value for money is not there with this hotel of the Cinnamon chain. They hotel was very busy with rushes of elbow to elbow buffet and seating. Had we known we would have booked another place more suited for couples or a quieter and cleaner rooms.

A beautiful resort complex, the mini homes are spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The full board option was a good choice with breakfast lunch and dinner being a broad array for the buffet with differing choices each day with some staples remaining consistent. The chefs were kind enough to do hoppers in a way that I wanted that was fresh. The pool was closed at the time for maintenance, however you could use the sister hotel’s pool which was a 10min walk away. The only minor issue was that the Expedia listing stated a discount on the food and beverages or spa treatments. When it came to check out, this hadn’t been lodged in the system and the bill hadn’t reflected the discount. Upon showing the hotel staff the Expedia listing, they then honored the discount. This is issue is not a reflection on the staff at the hotel but rather the head office who have made an error in the listing.

The welcome was very good. The rooms was lovely but after that; the service was awful! Glasses and plates left all around the pool area and on tables in the lounge. When you requeated something, it was either extremely slow arriving or on a few occasions, completely forgotten about! Nobody around the pool area to flag down to get a drink. Numerous times in the evening I had to go to the bar after requesting drinks that didnt arrive. Staff stood around talking instead of monitoring the area qnd cleaning tables. Took a night off eating spicy food and opted for some western food which was shocking! Drinks and wine especially are very expensive. All in all, a lovely place but very poor servive! Personalen var vänlig och professionell, och rummen samt hela området var rena och välstädade. Personalen tog också väl hand om gästerna, även under hög belastning vid incheckning. Platsen var avkopplande och omgiven av natur. Förbättringsförslag: Hotellet bör överväga att koppla ihop lobbyn och inchecknings-/receptionsområdet. För närvarande är receptionsområdet för litet för att bekvämt ta emot gäster, och det är svårt för personalen att hjälpa gäster från en separat lobby.

Pleasant stay

Although the check-in time is 2pm, and we arrived at 2:30, the room still wasn't ready until after 3pm. Quiet bungalows set in nice gardens. The room was smaller than anticipated but adequate. Cleaning was thorough and the cleaning staff were excellent and created a lovely display made of towels on the bed which really cheered us up. Very spacious and clean pool. It's a pity that there isn't a pathway aall the way around the lake, but the grounds offer a short and pleasant walk. A few eating establishments close by on the main road.
