The best

Absolutely superb. Randy thought of everything to make this a quiet, friendly, comfortable place to stay. A quiet retreat. It put a dent in our tourist activities, though, because we didn’t want to leave! It’s good to do some grocery shopping before you get there, as there are minimal food options in the immediate area.

We had a wonderful stay at Mahana House Country Inn! It’s a cozy and quiet place with beautiful scenery, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The inn has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and we especially loved how cat-friendly it is. The adorable cats added a special charm to our stay. Luxury and beauty meets function.

I stayed in one of the cottages which are new, beautifully decorated, super functional and so ver comfortable. The king size Sleep Number bed was over the top luxurious! Met owner Randy who took us on a tour of the gorgeous property and enjoyed tasting the fruits from the plantation. Loved that they have several rescued cats on property. The cats are very polite. The mini kitchen in the cottage was perfect for breakfast or lunch.

It was so amazing!! The view is stunning and the cottage was perfect! It is a little bit far away from grocerie store, but waterfalls are nearby and it is very good to relax and enjoy the view.

Spectacular property! Owners gave us so many helpful tips and advice for the things we had planned and restaurants to go. The cats were SUCH a delight and the views and ambience of the place are amazing. Would highly recommend this place for a Hilo stay if you are looking for a place away from the city and in a tropical area. Thank you both for this stay!

A wonderfully appointed inn, on beautiful grounds filled with fruit trees. We stayed in the condos, and the setting and accommodations were really great. Randy and Allison have provided all that you need for a room, as well as access to the house with kitchen. The added bonus of longans and bananas from the property adds to the charm. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

It’s an amazing place, it has everything you can expect and a view on the ocean. The room is large and well furnished. The location is great because not that far from Hilo and to visit the main attractions (hakalaka falls, rainbow falls, volcanoes NP…). The only issue was the noise from the frogs during the night, it seems it was the mating season.

A piece of paradise

This place is out of this world. The owners are so friendly and helpfull. The rooms are clean and very well equiped, and then there is the big room and kitchen area that has everything you could need when staying. The BBQ is great (gas) we used it to cook burgers one night. The location is perfect for exploring this part of the Big Island. If you are considering staying here just book it now.
