Beautiful property, the private tub was amazing! The dinner was absolutely wonderful, and we were lucky enough to catch their summer concert. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer a free shuttle to their other properties and to Gora station which was extremely helpful. Clean room with plenty of amenities!

Lovely staff, wonderful meals and a beautiful building (from the outside). Unfortunately the hallways were really musty and run down and the room, while gorgeous (we had our own outdoor onsen, which was divine!), was really damp. The bedding felt damp and the pillows were hard as rocks. Incredible history in this building, with a quirky little museum to wander, but it needs to be renovated.
We booked the ryokan with private onsen. It was worth every penny. We got the dinner and Japanese breakfast and was an amazing experience. The give you a yukata slippers and even socks to use. In from of the beautiful building is a garden. Also behind the museum in the corner a beautiful Japanese authentic restaurant, it was just beautiful. It was easy to catch the buses once we figured out which one to take.
The outdoor private onsen has the shower next to it and it is also outdoors. The bathroom, toilet is inside. We just loved our stay there. For our second night we opted for the buffet in a sister hotel nearby but we should have stayed for the authentic Japanese dinner for the second time even though it is the same as the previous night. The room was quiet and peaceful. The staff very attentive.
This was the last hotel of our travels around Japan and I am glad we saved it for last. For our family it was perfect and an amazing experience. We stayed in one of the villas which are a short walk from the main building. The villa was really quaint, with its own inside and outside bath. We enjoyed the food experience, as we were staying 2 nights we ate one night in this hotel and the other nigjt we got the shuttle bus to their sister hotel for the all you can eat buffet. The staff were all really friendly and helpful
The hotel has a very traditional, old-school Japanese feel. There is one private onsen and one public onsen, which is worth keeping in mind for Western travelers with tattoos, as this can limit your options.
The food was classic Japanese cuisine, beautifully and culturally presented, and clearly part of the traditional experience.
Overall, it’s an authentic stay—just be aware that the hotel is quite old-fashioned in both style and customs.
Beautiful setting, the private bath outside the room was a highlight of our trip, so special. The Kaiseki dinner made the whole experience feel authentic and the food was lovely, high quality.
Beautiful property providing a lovely ryokan experience. Friendly staff, great authentic Japanese dining experience for dinner and breakfast, convenient bus stop out front and access to shuttle bus. We stayed in a quaint room with a private bath and Onsen. We really enjoyed our stay here.

A quaint Ryokan with everything you need- private onsen if you want one in your room, breakfast and dinner. Breakfast has options of western or Japanese.
The room we stayed in was clean and our onsen was great. We stayed in the lower floor and the only thing I can really nit pick is that the lower floor and our room had a subtle but noticeable scent of mold. Other than that, our stay was great.
Staff was very kind, and the hotel is a bus stop for the main Inzan bus and the other main bus which was very convenient.
We didn’t try the public baths or venture to their exhibit on the second floor. Coffee came from a machine in the lobby, accessible 24 hrs.
If you want a unique experience, this place is one I would recommend. Just know that it looks older and quaint in comparison to other hotels but that’s part of its charm.
This is a lovely property. We had a large corner room with a nice view. A good sized living room as well as the bedroom. The kaiseki dinner was excellent and the wait staff were helpful and polite. The onsen was hot at 44.5 deg and it relaxed me after a day of touring.
We stayed in a private open-air villa and had an amazing time. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food quality was excellent. It was a perfect traditional Japanese experience.
Immerse yourself in the historical atmosphere of the building and enjoy a wonderful time like in a museum. Beautiful scenery awakens the morning·
Exquisite set meal.Really good
