"This is our “go to” since early 2000s. We love this hotel and its vibe. The food options are endless, plus it’s very walkable. Views and sunset/sunrise is amazing. The “Blue Hawaii” drink at Tropics is phenomenal. Shopping is great too! The whole Hawaiian atmosphere is great; wish they’d bring back the penguins tho. And true room service (it’s now an ordering from their little market-grab n go. Overall we will be back!"

"The room was gorgeous! Bravo for the elevated and tasteful decor. The exterior does need a little facelift here and there as it is an older hotel, but there is a "classic," old Hawaii charm about it. Bell Attendant was a bit pushy when we did not let him take our bags before check in - asking repeatedly - when guaranteed check in was only 30min out. Other than that, the staff at the Veranda was so nice and cheerful and dinner at Arancino was amazing. This is a great option to stay outside of Waikiki."
