"The area has a high number of homeless or other residents so to enter the building, you had to press a button and have you verify you are checking in. It is not a welcoming issue for guests but understandable."

"The hotel room was in poor condition. The desk chair should have been thrown away months ago as most of the plastic had worn away. I had to struggle to get the shower control to work properly. The mini-refrigerator temperature control was not working properly as all of my food froze, even on the lowest setting. The staff told me they didn't have any other chairs to replace mine with."

"The place wasn’t bad at all you definitely get what you pay for. We spent most of our days out exploring and only returned to sleep, but the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay. Check-in was simple, parking was convenient, and the front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and understanding throughout our visit. We stayed for four days, and the location was perfect, close to everything we needed. The housekeeping staff were also very kind and promptly provided fresh towels when we requested them. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay."

"The garden cottage is perfect for a couple and served as a great home base to visit the Portland area. It’s very close to mount Tabor park, which is wonderful. We appreciated how comfortable everything was, from the bed, the heated floor in the bathroom and the full kitchen with everything you’d need should you choose to cook. The yard is beautiful, so quiet and relaxing. Then there’s the home made granola that Diane is so gracious to provide….it’s addicting! We actually stayed twice during this trip while we took a little detour to Washington and it felt like coming home upon our return. Both Diane and Charley are lovely people. We hope to stay at their place again when visiting Portland in the future."

"The Shuttle to and from the hotel was very convenient. The employees all seemed nice. The shower had fantastic hot water. Which helped when I had to clean it the first night. Also the air conditioning/heater worked well. Outside of that it was alot of money wasted, cold eggs, dirty floors, no sanitizer for the equipment in the gym, no towels anywhere, pool, gym. The ratings and pictures are definitely not what it really is."
