"Staff were very friendly and courteous. Kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast were out of the world! Onsen, water temperature was perfect, and Jungle Onsen was interesting. Our room was tatami room with 2 beds which was large enough and comfortable. Even though the unit was rustic, it was very clean.
They had no problem picking us up from the JR station even though I called the hotel in the morning of the arrival day. (Get off at JR Chikugo-Yoshiimachi station.) When we arrived at the station,...
"Quiet. Staff was friendly and let me check out late.
Fairly clean. Questionable stains on the walls and on the floor but at least the bed was clean.
Bath was good.
Not too many places to eat in the area. Hakurakuten nearby had good food and the staff was nice. "
"It was my 2nd visiting at Kayausagi. Thus stay also was full of satisfaction! Hotspring, Food, Staff kindness, everything! They provide pick up&drop off service, ans it was very convenient to book transportation via Expedia message function in advance.
I personally wants to share a sincere gratitude to Kayausagi that contacting and helping me regarding my lost item(phone) even after my stay :)"
"I recently had a wonderful stay there!
The accommodation was beautiful, and I truly appreciated the thoughtful touch of having breakfast provided each day. The staff was attentive and checked in regularly to ensure everything was going smoothly, making my vacation incredibly relaxing and enjoyable.
One minor suggestion: the listing did not clearly specify the different accommodation options available. We chose a 2/F unit, which, while lovely, was less convenient for the elderly members of our...
"Beautiful spot inside and out. Super easy to check in and out. Very clean and pretty close to the main hub by car but a bit scary to drive down at night so bring enough food. I can only imagine when the trees outside blossom and how beautiful that would look. I guess I need to come back 😉 "
"Such a beautiful, tranquil ryokan right on the river. Close walking distance to the train/bus station. The staff were kind, polite, and accommodating. Would stay again!"
"Very friendly, kind and helpful staff. Very convenient hotel for those who want to have the bus and train station nearby. Perfect room with a nice view of the city; rich and good breakfast."

"I can’t believe its a two star hotel! The amenities are so nice, and they even held onto my luggage for me for only 550 yen for the whole day! It made it easy to explore knowing my bags were safe."
"This hotel was our base for 7 nights, split across two bookings, primarily due to its unbeatable location right across from Hakata Station.
TLDR: We would definitely book this hotel again if we had the chance, but mainly because of the location and the service.
LOCATION:
Being next to Hakata Station offers incredible convenience with direct access to multiple shopping malls and easy, affordable transit to the airport (a 15-minute, $25 USD taxi for 5 people with 6 bags, or an easy subway ride if you're traveling light). A drugstore and convenience store are also steps away.
ROOM:
Our Superior Twin room (approx. 250 sq/ft) was a good size and generally clean, though the carpet had some stains. The AC and air filter was excellent, but the Wi-Fi was inconsistent, frequently disconnecting despite fast speeds when working. Blackout curtains excellent and windows allow for slight opening if needed. Besides that, they have in-building coin-op laundry service on 2 floors. Their breakfast was just okay.
SERVICE:
The staff were genuinely helpful and courteous. Most front-desk staff spoke English well, assisting us with calls to a local clinic and arranging taxis (for a fee).
TIP:
If you really need a taxi, get the 'GO' taxi app. You can call a taxi yourself w/ that. Very easy to use and they accept US credit card payments."

"The hotel is connected to the subway underpass. I was standing near the front desk, and a staff member would approach me and offer assistance. The breakfast buffet offers a lot of choices but the taste is ok. The room relatively big for Japanese standard. Good value."
