"An absolutely beautiful home and views. Communication with the host was outstanding. A few reasons I didn't give a 5-star review. Even though the home was amazing, I wouldn't call it "Luxury".1. We arrived much later than we meant to, after midnight. The next morning, when we got up, we found a bare cupboard. There was a nice Keurig, but no sugar or creamer. In fact, there was nothing in the pantry. Maybe had we gotten there earlier in the day, it wouldn't have been an issue, but an overnight storm brought sleet and snow. Dollar General was 10-15 minutes away, and Wal-Mart was 30 minutes away.2. I grew up not far from here, and I knew to expect insects, but there were Ladybugs everywhere in the home. I could not find a broom to sweep them up and put them outside. Walking in the dark was at times uncomfortable because I was constantly stepping on Ladybugs.3. None of the coat hangers matched (some wire, some wooden, and some broken), and there were not enough of them. No big deal, except there were no drawers to put clothes in, save the bedside tables.4. I absolutely loved the fireplace, but some wood for one fire would have been nice.5. One of the outside doors didn't have a hook to keep it closed, so when the wind blew, it would bang open and closed very loudly.Would I stay here again? Probably. Are my comments petty? Maybe. But when I see "Luxury" in the title, I expect some luxuries for at least one day until a grocery run can be made."

"We had an amazing seven day stay here at The Overlook. The home was beautiful and the views were even better. We spent every morning and night on the deck watching the sun rise and set over the mountains, whether it was in the hot tub or the outdoor couches. The beds were all very comfortable and lots of extra blankets for relaxing inside/outside on the couches. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for our weeklong stay. The air conditioning worked great during the hot days when we needed it. The location was perfect for us. During our stay we traveled to Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Amicalola, Chattanooga, and Fort Mountain. In regard to the location, the GPS did take us right to the front door. If you enjoy the mountains and hiking, this place is for you.Somone mentioned in the reviews in regard to the neighbors. The closest neighbor is almost a mile away, and the last time I checked, you can't choose your neighbors. Don't let the mention of the neighbors hinder your trip to this beautiful home! We had an amazing trip and plan to come back during the fall time!"

"It is a lovely secluded cabin! It was so clean and welcoming and the communication with the owners (Victor) was excellent. We went for a short get away weekend for some peace and quiet and this cabin delivered very well. As the owners indicated, it is off the beaten path (very accessible by car) and we did bring in the basics for breakfasts and dinners plus supplemented from our outing on Saturday. We were able to visit downtown Cartersville with small local business shops and dining, but could have as easily gone to Ellijay or Blue Ridge. Jasper is the closet town and we stopped at the grocery store there for supplies before heading to the cabin on Friday. The kitchen is well stocked with all the basics plus the toiletries in the bathroom were appreciated. Both the husband and I had a wonderful time and recommend this cabin if you want a good get away place to stay. "

"I would not recommend staying here in hopes of using the hot tub or the fire pit for the entirety of your stay, and the customer service was very poor. Our family was very disappointed from the first day we checked in. Someone from vacasa was at the home 2 days of the 3 days we were there interfering with our stay. "
