"I found the team at The Lookout to be friendly and approachable and always happy to help which made me feel welcome. The room was nicely decorated. The bed was very comfy and lovely crisp, white bedding. The bathroom looked fresh and new and the shower was good. The breakfast was ok. The bacon was very crispy, fortunately I like it that way. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. I feel the bread offered let them down. It was a standard sliced loaf, such a shame it wasn't a bakery bread. Overall I had a lovely stay and will definitely be coming back."

"Good hotel, ideal location near the pier and overlooking the sea, although not all rooms have a sea view. Room was a good size as was the bathroom. The car park worked for us but it is not monitored for security. We didn't eat in the hotel as there are many alternatives in Terminus road a short stroll away. Staff were helpful and efficient."

"We have previously stayed in a “Grand“ Hotel in a location that is beyond its glory days. This hotel has none of the feeling of decay that others have had. It was delightful and well maintained, still having a feeling of grandeur. It was truly a delightful surprise."

"Great service from the reception staff. The rooms were very clean and surprisingly large. It was nice to have the sea view. The only downside for us was the lack of parking nearby. It was very hit and miss on getting a spot near the hotel and with a disabled traveller in our group we needed this. If you don't mind the parking issue then this is a great value for money place to stay."
