Renovated and prettily furnished, you step straight off the street into the welcoming sitting room with comfortable sofas to relax on and a wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel on chilly evenings. Many original features have been retained with open beams, wooden floors, sash windows and stripped doors, a compact fitted kitchen/diner leads off the sitting room and opens to a shared walled terrace to the rear of the cottage, a perfect sheltered spot to relax, with your own bistro table and chairs where you can enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine on a summer’s evening. Narrow original stairs lead from the sitting room to the first floor with 3 cottage style bedrooms, 2 singles and a super double bedroom all with traditional iron bed frames, as well as a modern shower room.Spend your days exploring this famous tiny City with a range of pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops and galleries literally on your doorstep, wander round the magnificent Cathedral and majestic ruins of the Bishops Palace. The closest beach is Caerfai, less than 1 mile away. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to explore this stunning coastline on foot, heading east towards Solva, a picturesque harbour village, with pubs and shops clustered round its sandy sheltered inlet or further on to Newgale with its long stretch of sandy beach, popular with water sport enthusiasts and surfers, there is even a hire shop for all your needs and a beach-side cafe for refreshments. In the other direction is St Justinians, the embarkation point for boat trips to the Island of Ramsey, a nature reserve, well worth a visit, the birdlife and wildlife will enthral you, especially in September when the seal pups mournful cries fill the air. Whitesands Beach should not be missed, popular with families and surfers professional and beginners alike, it is sure to become a firm favourite with its beach-side seasonal cafe. Head up Carn Llidi, the coastal views are breath-taking and sunsets particularly beautiful, it is well worth the climb. A confortable cottage, well equipped in a very good location, nice to be close to eateries and facilities. Good local bus services along the coast, and also parked all week at the local car park nicely.All eating venues were excellent, coastal trips excellent and enjoyed a boat trip with Falcon Boats.excellent plantsman nursery and visitor centre too.
