"We had a lovely one night stay at Ferncliff, it was just lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a very well run ‘b&b’ type hotel but much more luxurious. Bernard in particular was fantastic, especially his cooking — we had both dinner and breakfast there. Very glad we chose this over the ‘grand hotel’ in the end. "

"We booked 2 rooms and stayed only one night at this hotel. The staff were amazing from the moment we stepped into the property. They served us coffee whilst waiting for check in. "+++ Absolutely magnificent place with a wonderful history. The wooden features are beautiful and the bedrooms are outstanding. Wonderful snooker table and fireplaces. Lovely garden where you can sit and enjoy afternoon tea. The staff, especially Sameera, were absolutely excellent- they couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you again Sameera, we will hopefully see you again one day!

Please ask for Indu to pick you up and drive you around in either his spacious van or locally tuk tuk. He also has a small store nearby with a lovely helpful family. He is a gentleman.
The host family are just beautiful people. Nothing is too much trouble.

The views are breathtaking.

"The Staff were extremely helpful. We got a pot of coffee and tea upon our arrival.
The staff also gave us two umbrellas in case we go out in the city and it starts raining.
On the day of the checkout, we requested some to-go breakfast and they happily complied. They packed us extra pair of sandwich and a cup full of fruits and some whole fruits as well.
Could not have asked for more. Thank You Carnation Rest"

This is a great little sanctuary nestled just off the main road as you head into town from Kandy.
Clear directions provided prior to arrival, quick check-in and warm welcome provided. The 2 story villa is cosy and comfortable with all necessary amenities provided including coffee machine, microwave, fridge, usb speaker, sofa, dining table, crockery and cutlery.
The bathroom has a wow factor and the beds were super comfortable. We stayed as a family of 4 and definitely big enough for us.
Last of all, what a spread for the breakfast delivered in the morning (photo provided)! Highly recommend Luxe Wilderness. 🙌
P.S. if you have a driver, they can help out with cheap accommodation close by. "

"we had a lovely time in Galway Heights. We really liked the location in a small rural road close to a hindu temple and small village and in the tea plantations. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff very attentive. The only grievance was the lack of elevator. We would definitely recommend this."
