"Our room appearance was nice and as pictured. The location was good, and it was easy to check in and use the facility, and the parking was easily accessible and free. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only drawback was that the staff seemed to be nowhere on site. We had a problem with the bathroom door not closing and we were told they were sorry for the inconvenience, but no effort to remedy the situation was taken. The checkout time was very early at 10:00 and extension to 11:00 was only given with a $30 fee so we declined and left by 9:30. There were no drinking glasses in the room, so you needed to grab those from the coffee area in the main hallway if needed. I would stay there again if there was better communication with staff to accommodate needs. It appears they are expanding, so maybe more amenities and a more full time staff will be coming in the future. Definitely a good price and a cute vibe. We just unfortunately encountered a small problem that was not rectified to our satisfaction."

"Nicely set up hotel room with mini kitchen staffed with items you might need. Difficult to get into portico/entrance area with F-150 crew cab. Guest ahead of us scrapped his truck on a yellow pole and we had to multi-point turn to get out unscathed. Staff seemed responsive. Our complaint here was actually with Hotels.com. When you advertise that your pricing is grand total, you need to include extra fee amounts such as the $25 parking fee!"

"We have always stayed here when in Birmingham, and this was the first time we were disappointed. Our bathroom was not cleaned well at all… empty toilet paper roll, fingerprints and water spots all over the bathroom mirrors, dirty shower glass, and mildew on some of the shower grout. Then the next morning, they no longer have the restaurant available for breakfast. They have a coffee shop available, and suggest you walk next door to the Sheraton. The staff that was working were all very friendly."
