"This was such a sweet home to stay in! Everything was clean and you could tell that the home was loved and taken care of well. The property was private and quiet- it was a lovely getaway. We could see the northern lights off the porch too! I definitely recommend!"

"We really enjoyed our weekend here. Quiet and secluded, but still very close to Grand Marais. A path just outside accesses a whole network of trails, we hiked to Pincushion Mountain. And the SHT connects here as well if you want to go further. The furnishings are simple in a very nice way; a folding table with two folding chairs, an electric kettle and a mini fridge are great for morning coffee or simple meals. The only thing we would have changed would be trading the two twin beds for a single 2-person bed, but that's preference. Great place, will stay again."

"The cabins were nice and private. It was clean and the experience was great. They had wood that was easily accessible and plenty of heat sources as well as water they left for us."

"We enjoyed another relaxing and cozy stay at this secluded forest retreat! After spending the day hiking at nearby State Parks and trails off the Gunflint, we loved playing games and reading by the fire. The location by the river is ideal, and it’s so nice to sit on the deck and listen to the water. The cabin is clean and comfortable, and the hosts are responsive. We will be back! "

"I was very nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great stay. It's nothing fancy but the staff was great, the room had a beautiful view and it served its purpose. This location alone is worth the price we paid, which you're not going to find cheaper in Grand Marais. I mean, you're next door to World's Greatest Doughnuts! Maybe we just got lucky with our specific room but I think alot of the people in these reviews expected a 5 Star resort and just love to complain, but you get what you pay for! I would stay again! "

"The cabin is so peaceful being in the midst of the wilderness just up the hill from Lake Superior. The cabin is cute, artsy, airy, bright, and, clean! Thank you for another great get-away!!"
