"This was our second time staying at Caribou Highlands Lodge, and it was just as good as the first. We were in 122A this time, and it was the perfect size for our family of 5. We enjoyed both pools and the hot tub. The best part is the location is pretty central to all the stops and towns we like to frequent. We can't recommend this place enough!"

Waterfront Escape on Caribou Lake: Dock + Fire Pit

"We had a great time on Caribou Lake! The property had plenty of space for all of us to spend some time alone - loved the screen porch for coffee in the morning! We also loved the large common space for both a movie night and playing games! Of course, it was great to be able to spend time on the water. We also got in a little fishing right off the dock!!"

"Barbara’s place was great! Very clean, comfortable, and a beautiful location. The views from the deck and dock were relaxing. Comfortable beds, pillows and furnishings. We’ve stayed at many Vrbos in the past - everything here was as listed, with the addition of little things that the cabin had that made the stay so easy. We would gladly return!"

"Great spot off the beaten path. Didn't encounter anyone else on the lake, and it's big enough for some good paddling. Plus there are so many more nearby. Cabin is cozy and the kitchenette is enough for simple cooking. Great launching point to explore the north shore/Grand Marais/Boundary Waters"

"Having the whole facility to ourselves gave us the privacy we wanted, although a public access to the lake was right next door which received use by many people each day. The private dock area permitted us access without being affected by public use.Canoeing was great as we saw a moose along the shoreline. Fishing for small mouth was very slow. At night very area was very quiet.We were able to realize somewhat of an isolated experience, for those that needed on-line access the connection was good and stable. The refrigerator was a bit small for our group of 11 for 5 days - we brought all of our groceries with us since shopping was an hour drive away.The caretaker was a friendly guy who tried hard.For a large group this was a good place to stay. The hands-on natural history museum just down the road was well staffed and had a lot to offer young and old at a reasonable cost."
