"This was one of the best Holiday Inn Express's that we have stayed at. It was extremely clean, breakfast was very good and the area was wonderful."

"The property was clean, location was perfect. The door did not lock and we could not reach anyone to tell us how to fix this. But we did now have any trouble while the door was unlocked. Plenty of hot water!!!! Kitche was well supplied. Very comfortable. You feel like your oit of town secluded but very close to downtown Helen. It was a pretty location. Quiet neighbors. Very restful even being so close. The internet was spotty which ment the tv was spotty. But we were there for thw sweet little town. "

"Pretty good motel. Manager was friendly. Room was not cleaned on Sunday. Half of night latch on door was missing. Chairs in room were not comfortable at all. Entry door and bathroom door frame needed to be painted. Overall it was a nice stay. Would stay there again."

"Property and staff okay. Could use a renovation, but the problem seems to be the clientele that for some reason have to damage the rooms. Could use better breakfast, sharing a milk container didn't seem safe. Overall, I would recommend them as they have a good price point for the overly expensive Helen area. Save your money here, your going to need it."

"This hotel is currently being remodeled. They expect completion of all the rooms very soon. The pool will be opened the end of April. The staff is excellent. The rooms are comfortable. The location is walking distance to town about 1/2 mile"

"This is a prime spot for visiting Helen. It’s only a few yards from the city center. The beach area with the swings and tables by the river was incredibly relaxing. I spent most of one day just relaxing there. The rooms were newly redone with nice memory foam mattress and a nice new roomy shower (no tub 👍) and the shower head was actually high enough for taller folks to not have to slump to wash their hair. The tv was a little confusing, but I wasn’t there to watch tv. My only real complaint was that I stumbled several times and fell once over in expected drops and odd half stairs…even the ramp was pretty steep. If you have mobility issues, I’d make sure to get a first level room and watch your step. Several different staff members went out of their way to help me with odd circumstances that came up. This place was an incredible value considering the other similarly priced hotels were not on the river, as close to the center or nearly as nicely appointed and maintained as the River Bend. I can’t wait to stay in the cabins soon. I doubt I’ll stay anywhere else when l go to Helen."
