Paid extra for Solo Up class room - lousy

I paid extra for a superior room (Solo Up), but it very noisy. I complained and the receptionist could not understand why it should be noisy. I then found it out myself as the garage obviously was just below my room. Not what I expected when paying more for the room. The hotel ought to pay full compensation plus compensation for a destroyed night.

We couldn't travel on the dates we had booked for, had to move the reservation to two nights later in the same week. GUESS WHAT? NO REFUND OR TRANSFER OF THE RESERVATION. WE LOST A LOT OF MONEY. Pleaded with the hotel and hotels.com that they were special circumstances but they just kept passing the buck between them, blaming each other for being unable to issue a refund. I am dismayed and fed up with the whole experience, especially the buck passing. I will try to never stay in a Sokos hotel again.

Fantastiskt fint hotell vid hamnen.

Fantastiskt fint hotell vid hamnen. Trevliga rum och en helt outstanding frukost. 10/10 för den. Takterrassen var supermysig och vi såg till och med norrsken däruppe. Nära spårvagn och gångavstånd till centrum. Det tog lite lång tid vid incheckningen bara. Borde varit fler som hjälpte till.
