"We stayed at this hotel on 23rd September 2025 in a family room. The only positive was the late self-check-in, which was quick and convenient. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was very poor. The entire hotel, including the lobby and our room, had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke — it seemed ingrained in the walls and ceilings. We had specifically booked a non-smoking family room as we were travelling with our 3-month-old and 3-year-old, but the smell made it impossible to rest. My wife and son felt sick from it, and I was extremely concerned about exposing our baby to passive smoke. The room itself was as described in terms of layout (basic but with the right number of beds), however the smoky environment completely ruined our stay. None of us slept well, and we were too exhausted to continue with our travel plans the next day. If you are a non-smoker or travelling with children, I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel."

"There was grease/blood stains on the rail above the single beds. Breakfast was just croissants and a coffee machine. The shower was tiny, and you have to pay 3 Euros per towel. It was noisy into the night, and early day. Didn’t feel like much sleep happened. "

"I have been to some 5 star hotels, but Aurelia who welcomed us at reception, couldn’t do enough for us, prepared breakfast, dealt with people departing, all with such an amazing, fantastic and very special way. Whatever you are paying her you need to double this. I will definitely be going back to this hotel. Thank you Aurelia"

"Front desk were very friendly on arrival, Room was nice with toilet separate from shower which helped with a family of 4. There was a lovely personalised message on our mirror on arrival. Pool was nice as was breakfast. Kids loved the closeness to shopping centre. Car park was tall enough for camper and secured at night."

"The picture on the hotel website shows the hotel with a sign which says “Hotel Restaurant Brasserie”. This, along with the “free, private parking”, made it appear the ideal location for my single night stay in Lens. When I got there, a Wednesday, the restaurant wasn’t open. I have subsequently looked at the FAQs which state “No, this hotel does not have an on-site restaurant.” There are a number of other restaurants in the street but all were closed that night and generally appear not to be open for evening service. The choice I was left with was either Domino’s Pizza or Friterie Momo. Fortunately, I picked the latter and had one of the best burger and chips I’ve had in years. The hotel itself is functional although tired and need of a complete refresh. The room was comfortable although the bathroom left a lot to be desired. To get water from the shower you had to press in the heating control. Water then came out for no more than 20 seconds before you had to press it again. That would have been merely inconvenient it I hadn’t had to hold the shower head which would not attach to its hook. No shower gel was provided, luckily I had my own, just the smallest bar of soap I have ever seen. In fact calling it a bar is an exaggeration; sliver would be a more accurate description. Finally, the toilet was very close to a wall. In fact my knees were less than an inch from it. Anyone taller than six foot would have a problem. The breakfast was pretty good with a lot of choice.
