There is a lovely place to sit outside with amazing views. Hay-on-Wye is literally an 8 minute drive away and lives up to its name of a bookish town. One of our favourite get always and I can’t recommend enough!"

"This is a delightful well equipped property which proved cosy and comfortable , much needed in a week of poor weather. The upstairs bedroom is far superior to the downstairs, as is the upstairs bathroom but twin beds don’t suit, and we weren’t sure if they were zip and link It would be really great if they were! We appreciated decent number of dishwasher and laundry tablets, provisions for the dog, and a quirky welcome pack. Thank you."

"The location of the property is amazing, right on the bank of the River Severn which meant the television was never turned on. This historic house is spacious, there was seven of us staying, a great layout and very comfy. Our host Alison provided great communication, made sure we had arrived OK and that all was well upon our arrival. "Just back from a wonderful weekend at Forest Cottage. Lovely quaint cottage in a secluded spot. We stay all over UK in these type of properties and this one is far superior, in our opinion, than many others we have stayed. The Hosts are friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble and not intrusive (live in detached house next door but not so close). There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. "Our second stay here and excellent once again especially as the owners kindly accepted a change of plans due to one of our dogs requiring medical care.
