The hotel is tired and run down. Poor noise insulation from the corridor and other rooms. The condition of the property was not reflected in the price.

Room was big, spacious and clean. But otherwise this was disappointing, even for a one night stopover. Booking was non-cancellable... but they only told me after I booked, that the pool was closed. Then the noise - the walls are far too thin. If it wasn't water flowing/flushing/showering from bathrooms above and either side, it was doors slamming frequently through the night. I don't think this was people doing it deliberately, it was just that the doors are noisy and the walls are thin. Plus of course people getting frisky next door... Then the flaky wi-fi. 8 different networks available, but none of them could give more than one bar, and none of them stayed working for more than a couple of minutes when you connected. Don't stay here if you want to relax!

Dated, tired, old and dirty. The furniture was damaged and he room generally quite dirty except the bed sheets. Curtains falling off the tracks. I would not stay here again!!! Wasn’t allowed to have dinner in the restaurant as it was booked out for a coach load. Food was just ok but couldn’t face breakfast with a coach load so gave it a miss. Lorry generator in the car park was working all night. Didn’t even go to the spa to experience this based in the standard of the room. Very expensive for the standard and certainly not a 4 star . Even an Ibis budget would have been better.

Just an overnight stop.
Overnight stop on the way to Germany. Pleasant hotel but in need of modernisation. The children enjoyed a swim in the outdoor pool in the summer sun. Breakfast was ok could have been better so an advertised 4 star hotel.

Nice hotel but with the very hot weather it really needs air conditioning. Everywhere was hot but the second floor corridor and bedrooms were unbearable. Fans given were useless so we got no sleep. This is the second year we have stayed here with this situation so next year we will be looking for a hotel with air con

Stopped here or route from Austria to UK, Convenient location for getting on to E40. Rooms are in need of upgrading, No air conditioning so as very hot leaving window open at night with noise from roads not ideal. Its a choice noise or fresh air. Staff friendly and bar and restaurant OK. It is in remote location / Free Wi Fi with good signal

The staff are extremely kind and pleasant and very professional The property is clean. The food is good will recommend 1/2 pension it is a bargain and frankly very generous . The property need to be redone as everything is old inside . I felt like being in the 70’ which remind me the good old days on 4 stars hotels . The property has a great swimming pool . Be aware if you want new bling bling this is not the place . I love this hotel it was my 2sd time and of course I will go back . Merci encore à toute cette belle équipe .

Motelesque - it reminded me of a US motel off the interstate - Belgian style. Outdoor pool, big parking lot, long indoor hallways, etc. Very clean but a bit worn. Convenient location for the Belgian GP at Spa - less than 30 min by car "sans traffique" Great value/price and breakfast.

Wave of heat, no A/C
I use that hotel each time I visit Belgium. My last stay was unfortunately less pleasant than usual due to the absence of A/C vs the wave of heat that affected the country...Despite of that, my next stay in Belgium will probably be in that hotel !

Hotel was ideal for where I was working. Only criticism would be lack of air conditioning as it was very hot whilst I was there. Hotel did provide a cooling fan which helped.

Needs update!!
Very dated and noisy hotel rooms. Good parking and connections to major routes. Friendly staff. Hotel just needs generally updating a long with the gym facility - Should close the gym down, one of the worst i have ever been to!

Good hotel next to highway
Good hotel and room. Welcome drink was a nice surprise. Breakfast was very good. Hotel also has swimming pool, Jacuzzi and health centre, though I did not use any of this. Hotel is next to highway, away from city. I ordered a 4-course dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately after enquiring after waiting for 15 mins after main course, I was told the dessert and coffee were finished.

Positive atmosphere
Well located, close to Liege center, close to highways but in a very quiet area. Large parking, free. Friendly and efficient staff. Rooms with views. Excellent breakfast. Bedrooms not like "aquariums" i.e. you can open your windows. Not flashy, but relax !

Hotel is a good location for someone traveling by car. Parking is free. There are fields in the back so area is peaceful. Bathroom is small, Definitely not designed for big persons. There are no handles on tub/shower walls to hold onto. Toilet is very close to wall where towels hang. Rooms do not have air conditioning. Our room was on West side and became warm with the setting sun. Luckily it was a cool night so we kept the window open all night. Dogs are allowed in rooms and restaurant. Hotel is listed on GPS under Best Western.

When old is positive
The hotel was having its glorious time years ago. But what remains is much more than enough for your enjoying of your stay. Staff is pleasant and experienced, rooms are large and giving a nice view, windows can be opened (a rarity nowadays), breakfast features excellent food. Besides, it looks that it was recently renovated. Actually, I am visiting Belgium sporadically for the last few years and I am always selecting that hotel. I want t add that its location is very good as it is close to highways going to all directions !

A 'post' review
Rooms were clean and comfortable, and all staff polite and helpful. Wide choice of food for breakfast, and plenty to eat, but cooked items (bacon, eggs and beans) were generally cold. Amenities were excellent, particularly the indoor swimming pool, spa and gym. Bar prices were generally higher than expected, particularly for soft drinks. The hotel is in Herstal and this is not clear from the Web site. We originally thought it was in Liege.

Belgian gp 2015
Recently stayed for the 2015 belgian gp, perfect location for us easy access to the track, approx 15 mins drive. Plain and simple which was what we wanted, friendly staff at all times. The rooms are basic but clean, we only wanted a bed to get our head down at night so perfect. The only issue we had was regarding the breakfast served in the morning, basically it was cold !! Not only one morning but on all 4.

Stayed for one night. Didn't see a lot of the facilities so can't comment. The reception staff were excellent, very kind and helpful. Food in the restaurant was superb. Just a little noisy because the walls are very thin and little sound proofing but overall a very good hotel.

I expected better
I have stayed in multiple Best Western hotels all across Europe, and have always been happy. I expected this hotel to be as good as those others. The Good: The check-in process was quick, easy and professional. The room size was great. The Could have been better: - Breakfast could have been better. My wife described the scrambled eggs (I don't eat eggs) as runny, scrambled eggs. I didn't even know that combination was possible. Perhaps we ate breakfast at a bad time. There was a bus load of people leaving this morning and I think they all ate breakfast at the same time. So it could be the kitchen staff was having a hard time keeping up. - The room amenities / decorations could have been better. The room was very plain and felt more like a hotel than a Best Western The not so great: - I felt the bathroom was not so clean. There appeared to be mold/mildew in the corners and the trash can had a horrible looking stain on top.

Good base for visiting local cities by car.
Used the hotel as a base to visit local Xmas markets and it turned out to be very well placed. Very clean and all staff encountered were very friendly. Breakfast was a good selection of the usual fare and set us up for the day. Ate in the restaurant two evenings out of three and it was we thought good food and reasonably priced for a hotel. Although location was great for driving off elsewhere in view of it's location there was nowhere to stroll around locally.

Without doubt the service of the receotion and restaurant are excellent, but my room was worn and so were the electrics in the room, ie switches, power outlets. However the wifi was excellent and stable which is important for business travellers. You need a gps to find this hotel. Keep speedlimits, radar traps nearby

Nice and relaxing after our travels
We stayed here for 2 nights after travelling for 3 weeks around Europe . It was nice and peaceful. The receptionist was lovely at check in, the pool was amazing. The only little problem is the breakfast , tinned fruit, not a lot left at 9.30am, no cutlery , male member of staff was only there to clean tables not deal with customers.

Exit from the motorway was tatty and uninviting. First appearance of hotel was also tatty. However room was excellent, very comfortable. Breakfast was fine, though service was not as good as it should be as insufficient staff. Those who were there worked hard . Man on Reception initially was very welcoming.

Fantastic location
Located in a beautiful and convenient place, close to the big commercial center of Herstal, not far from the center of Liege and in the very neighbourhood of the Hauts-Sarts. Very scenic views on the Meuse Valley (front) and on the quiet country side of Wallonia. Hotel is old, but as a result, in the bedrooms, the windows can be opened and the heating is secured by old type devices that do not dry up the air. Furniture is quite basic but the beds are excellent. Wifi works very well.

A great place to stay for Business or sightseeing
The front desk staff was fantastic. I had lost weight and my wedding ring fell off near front desk. They called shortly later and reported if I had lost a ring. They were very friendly and spoke excellent English both at front desk and at restaurant. Breakfast had a great selection, but the dinner menu was just average. I ate two dinners their, the selection of wine was very limited. Location was excellent easy access to all points. The front desk and maid service was as good as it gets.

wellness center is great. Some of the rooms in the hotel are a bit dated. Example: this time my room had a flatscreen TV. Last time my room had a small CRT TV. But the hotel is comfortable and the beds and room were clean.
