Urangan Pier Family House - Pet and Child Friendly
This original renovated 1940's house is perfect for families and workers alike. Two Bedrooms and Sunroom (no privacy, apart from a sheer curtain). This cosy house offers airconditioning (Main Bedroom, Lounge and Second Bedroom), and modern features, whilst being a 2 minute walk to the beach and shops. Welcome to Hibiscus House at Urangan. You are only minutes away from the beautiful esplanade and the restaurants that go with it. There are a range of delicious takeaway shops within walking distance that you can enjoy with your family in the private back entertainment area or on the beach. There are also some great restaurants, also within walking distance, or even catch the RSL or Boat club courtesy bus!
Hibiscus House provides full linen and towels and is a complete house on over 1000m2 of land. The house has two bedrooms and a sunroom (this is an open space with no privacy from the lounge) which features a Single bed that converts to a large Queen. The whole house is for your private use.
The air-conditioned (brand new) main bedroom has a queen bed and features the charming queenslander windows, with a large brand new modern ensuite and wardrobe.
The air conditioned (brand new) second bedroom boasts two king single beds with a ceiling fan and cupboard.
The third bedroom or sunroom (as it has no privacy from the lounge or front entrance) has a single bed that converts to two joined single beds or a large queen. This area is airconditioned from the lounge and there is also a pedestal fan.
The renovated new kitchen has all the modern appliances including oven, microwave, nespresso coffee machine, large fridge, large pantry and dishwasher. There is seating for 6 at the large dining table.
The lounge room features comfy leather couches and a large TV all with airconditioning and fans.
The back outdoor entertaining space is on a large concreted ground level and has a fence all around it, perfect for children or pets. There is a Ziggy bbq for your use.
Outside of the fenced entertaining area, the back yard is also fenced and the front yard is also separately fenced.
The house includes a washing machine for your use.
We also have a thick foam single mattress that is easy to move around for extra guests or children (great for movie nights!).
All linen and towels are provided and a complimentary mid change of linen/towels and a light clean is provided for stays over 14 days.
Please note: Hibiscus house is pet friendly so if you are allergic to pet hair please be aware that this house may not be suitable. There is an exterior security camera that is on the front pedestrian gate and front vehicle gate. This house is very old, and will require constant supervision for small children around the windows and doors (if they are open due to the height of the ground and weight of the windows).
The Telstra NBN Internet is temperamental. Please note you may need your own dongle or to hotspot off your phone if required.
There is a slight ramp to get up into the driveway. If you have a low set car or sedan, it may not be accessible to park in the driveway. There is plenty of street parking available. The outside rubbish bins are moved onto the road by a third party every THURSDAY, the yard maintenance personnel will also access the property to attend to the gardens. I will always endeavour to provide notice but it is not guaranteed. A Maximum of 4 adults and 2 children is available due to the size of the house.

So easy to book and took the stress out of our family get together. There was enough room and beds for everyone and great location. We would definitely book again.
The house was just the right size for us. we had plenty of room to move around. Lovely and clean. will try to stay there again when next we visit Hervey Bay.
A lovely beach cottage, one block over from the waterfront. It was so close to all the restaurants, cafes, parks and beaches that we could walk everywhere.
The cottage is very warm & cosy, as well as child and pet friendly which was a huge plus for us as we take our dog with us everywhere.
The hostess was amazing checking in with us to make sure we arrived and were comfortable.
A great place to stay...we will definitely be coming back soon!

This was a great house for us to take our dog as it is so close to the dog beach and walking path along the esplanade. The house was very clean and we loved the outdoor entertainment area. The extra doggie things were really nice touch.
We loved our stay in the house. Everything we needed was provided and the house was very clean. The location is perfect for walks along the esplanade and to the Saturday market. A generous welcome gift awaited us upon our arrival makimg our trip a lot sweeter. We would definitely stay again, our dogs loved the large backyard and we loved the house. Thank you Christine for letting us stay in your house 😊
Excellent location. Great dog friendly yard and access to leashfree beach. Comfortable and clean. Hand rails on front stairs would improve safety for partially blind visitors. Great main bedroom and ensuite size and access.

Fantastic place so much room outside for the dogs in a huge fully fenced yard and under cover area - very short stroll to dog beach ( off leash) Clean room awesome modern ensuite fantastic shower
The house is beautifully fitted out and so comfortable. You're just a block back from the beach and also several cafes and restaurants.
The fixtures and fittings are a real credit to the owners and the dog-proof yard is ideal for Fido.
