"We had a wonderful stay at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo. The hotel is spotless, elegant and very comfortable, and the staff were attentive and helpful throughout our visit. The only tiny thing: we asked for half and half for our coffee and it never made it to us, but with everything else so lovely, it was easy to forgive! The service is warm and polished, exactly what you hope for in a classic Tokyo hotel. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it."

"As we were scheduled to arrive early morning, we contacted the hotel to ask if the room could be ready early, failing which, if we use the leisure facilities to change. On arrival, we were told the room would be ready at 3pm and after some debate allowed us to use the changing rooms at the pool, across the road. We went out for the day and arrived back at 2.30pm, by which time the lobby was quite full with others waiting for their rooms. At 3pm we were told we could check in and formed an orderly queue with everyone else. The reception and bar areas are formal - impressive to look at and ideal for business meetings, not so welcoming for a leisure trip. The hotel is clean, the rooms clean, modern and comfortable, and having paid for club access, the lounge area is excellent. Unfortunately for us, we were delayed on a tour in traffic and arrived back at the hotel at 9.45pm by which time the restaurant, bar, club lounge and even room service had finished. The hotel and the staff were great but the systems / times were inflexible and unexpected. Not sure if this is the way this hotel works or is common to Japan but it seems very unaccommodating."

"Great location for exploring Ginza and nearby attractions such as the Imperial palace, Hibiya Park. Close to high end shopping and eatery. Breakfast at the Peninsula hotel was disappointing.......high price with low value offering. The room at the hotel felt dated and seriously needs a refresh! The service standards are very high and the staff are gracious and obliging at every turn."
