"Good if generic/bland and slightly overpriced hotel in a great location just outside of downtown. Lots of room in the room, great shower, lobby bar, and on-site parking. Breakfast is extra. Friendly, attentive staff. Would return but would also look at options."

"Over the past four years we have stayed at the Joinery, which is close to Point Park University's campus. The hotel is getting a little worn. I noticed things like peeling wall paper, loose tissue holders, loose hooks, etc. I always sleep well at the Joinery, the heavy curtains help keep the room dark. I also use the workout room, which would benefit from a deep clean. The Joinery is a good hotel, not as expensive as some others nearby with adequate amenities."

"Parking was an issue. There was a long wait to get your car. They may have to move several other cars to access your car. Our room was supposed to have a refrigerator. When we inquired they said they would bring one but it might not work. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean."

"The facility was immaculate. The one bedroom apartment was lovely and well appointed. The decor was boring and sad and the ugly LED bulbs didn’t help. The check-in process was miserable. The doors to the front desk were locked. And no one was inside. I wandered around, trying to find another way in, and finally got in. I stood at the counter for a bit until a staff person came in. They did not greet me, look at me or do anything but check something on the desk. On their way out, I asked them about checking in. They said the check-in person was helping someone else outside. A minute later, the check-in person came in, did not greet me, started working on the computer. I said that I wanted to check in and that the doors were locked and it took me a while to get in. They said nothing, and asked me for my name so I could check in. They handed me a card with the codes to get in the room. There’s a space on the card to put a number where one can get help if needed. It was blank. These were the only interactions I had with staff people, and they were the worst and most dismissive I’ve ever encountered while checking in at any other facility. Additionally, I have chronic illnesses that make me fatigued. Not being able to get into the facility and having to walk around to find a way in while carrying two bags exhausted me and made me dizzy. I did not ask for accommodations because under normal circumstances I don’t need them for this amount of activity. "
