The kitchen has newly upgraded appliances and a large island with bar stool seating. There are two master suites (one on each level) with balcony access and large bathrooms finished with double vanities. Four additional upstairs bedrooms share Jack-and-Jill bathrooms. Two bedrooms open to a sweeping balcony overlooking the pool and spa area. An elevator is available from the garage to the upper level. We went here for a wedding at the sonesta resort. Can’t get a home any closer. So amazing. Unfortunately some of our party got CoVid and cancelled at the last minute. House was huge for our smaller group. House could use new outdoor furniture on the back deck. Ice maker was not sufficient. Bike pump doesn’t work. Bathrooms could use some more hooks. Laundry room could use a shelf. Otherwise first class overall. Kitchen was set up well. Would recommend.
Our family had an incredible time making memories at this home for Fall Break. It's a truly beautiful property with everything you'd want in a beach vacation. Anytime I had a question the property managers would respond in just a few minutes. 5 Stars!
Good house, great beach, lousey weather, but a great time was had by all
Major issues: 1. not handicap accessible, particularly the master bathroom shower; 2. The narrow driveway makes it almost impossible to park the car in the garage. But we still had a great time and the house was a big contribUtor to this.
Wonderful property steps from the beach. Easily accommodated our 18 person family. Well appointed kitchen. Super comfortable beds. Spacious and private. Highly recommend and would stay here again.
This was our first visit to HHI but besides having to go to the grocery store every day and a couple of nights out for dinner we barely left the house and beach. We really enjoyed the house with a few exceptions, detailed later. It was beautifully decorated, very well equipped kitchen, a quiet house (hard to hear the noises between floors and walls), comfortable beds and the A/C worked great. There was easy access to the beach (once we found it) and right down the street from Coligny Plaza. The Vacation Company was very easy and pleasant to work with as were the beach equipment companies.
Now for the not so good stuff... First, parking is a considerable issue... we had 4 cars and thankfully 2 of them were small enough to fit in the garages (an Acura MDX and a small Buick SUV) b/c the Jeep and Ford Expedition were not even close to fitting. The very narrow 1 lane road in front does not help the issue. With the smaller cars trapped by the larger, it was too big of a pain to get them out so we explored way less than I think we would have. Second... While the landscape around the house is beautiful, the trees on either side of the the driveway were not a great choice for a confined space. Every single one of us were stabbed each time we tried to manage the driveways. Third, as soon as we arrived and had a chance to sit down we noticed the house was not all that clean. I understand its a beach community but there is no reason there should be sand on the sofa and chairs. There was also hair in a couple showers. Next, if you are going to have a house that sleeps 13+ (sofa bed), shouldn't you also have enough seats to dine with all 13 guests? We were a group of 12 (with older children) and felt like a few were always being left out when we ate in, with some at the bar and some in the living areas. Oh, and an additional refrigerator would have been a huge help. These are maybe not as much complaints as opportunities to improve and make a good experience great.
Great place to stay. Very short walk to the beach. Backyard pool is very relaxing with plenty of shade close by. Air conditioning for the bottom level went out one morning and they had it fixed early afternoon. Very pleasant stay.
It was colder than we hoped for Spring Break, but the heated pool and spa were great. Also the bike path to town is close and it’s an easy 10 minute bike ride. The house felt big as there were only 6 of us.
Beautiful home. Excellent location. Short walk to beach and enjoyable bike ride to shops and restaurants. Property management was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to our needs.
