"We booked this stay as we planned to do some touring in the highlands. We are so grateful we did. Nairn is a wonderful small town with great people, without the bustle of Inverness. Our hosts were incredible and the property was truly 5 stars! The à la carte breakfast in the morning was a surprise and was delicious. An awesome start to the day! Room was massive and well appointed. Plenty of parking and close to several points of interest. Would absolutely return to see more of what Nairn has to offer."

"The new owners have a lot of work to do and have plans going forward. Rome wasn’t built in a day but they are doing their best. My room was comfortable and I had a couple of issues which were rectified as soon as they were made known to the staff. The food was good and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. "We enjoyed our stay here and thought it was good value. Food in the restaurant was very tasty (although limited choice - only three starters, three mains (one was veggie); breakfast was very good. Friendly staff on reception, but service was very slow in the restaurant and we had to ask for our drinks which still hadn't arrived by the time our main course was served. Beautiful lounge area and bar, fantastic property and rooms were very large and spacious - but there are a lot of maintenance issues that need addressing (windows that couldn't be opened in bathroom, slightly dodgy socket in bedroom). Shame the fires weren't lit as it was a bit cold in both the lounge and dining room. But we enjoyed our stay, in a beautiful location and at a good price."

"Returned to the Invernaire after a 42 year absence. Plenty remained the same as I remember it in nothing but a good way and also several updates like the en suite washroom especially. Last time it was one shower for the entire upper floor. The view from my cozy little room- Ben Wy was spectacular as was the one from the dining room. Carol was especially helpful from the time I checked in until I left. Breakfast were A-1. Best tea I’ve ever tried and was reunited with black pudding. Miss that taste!!! I fantastic 4 days. I’ll be back again and won’t wait as long. I recommend the Invernairne to anyone who visits the beautiful little town of Nairn!!"

"I read a Lot of reviews before choosing to stay here and I'm so glad I ignored the bad ones. I loved this hotel. My room was huge but basic. It reminded me of the kind of old properties Youth Hostels often occupy. Comfy bed, nice white sheets. This was the cheapest in the area so I dont think the bad reviews are fair. Pay more and stay somewhere else. Normally I MUST have a TV in my room but I really didnt mind that there wasnt one. Look into the history of the building to understand the reasons why it had anvair of Fawlty towts meets the Shining. "We LOVED our room & stay here….wish we had booked another couple days. Staff were very nice, accommodating and kind. We were blessed with sun & blue sky…..walk across the road to the golf course and an easy walk to a beautiful beach. The grounds are lovely. They had a wedding party and could not accommodate our having dinner at the hotel BUT the receptionist made a recommendation and booked a nearby dinner for us which was very good 🙂 If we get back over the pond we would stay here again & for longer"
