"Good stay in a recently refurbished hotel I had a good stay at Hotel Medona in Pula. The hotel has clearly been recently refurbished and is in excellent condition. Everything felt fresh, modern and well maintained, which made for a very pleasant stay. The staff were another highlight. Everyone I encountered was friendly, welcoming and very helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There were a couple of minor downsides. I found the bed to be quite hard, so unfortunately I didn’t have the best night’s sleep. The breakfast was also fairly basic, although there was enough to start the day and it was perfectly adequate. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and felt the hotel offered a comfortable and pleasant experience. With a slightly softer bed and a little more variety at breakfast, it would be even better."

"The location was excellent, a quiet area about an 10 minute walk to the old town. Antonella was quick to respond and provided excellent suggestions for dinner and even called cabs for us to go to the beach and airport. The only reason I would give a 4.5 instead of 5 is that there were ants in the room (mainly washroom). While the cleaners came the first day quickly to address the issue, it continued and cleaners did not come back again to check or clean. The heat could have caused the ants but we did not have food in the room and this was the only issue that would have to be addressed more diligently if it frequently occurs."

"The owner Giovanni was so helpful and friendly, he got to us within minutes of me messaging him when we arrived as on a later flight, he even recommended the eatery he was at too once we’d settled in! The room is a decent size, very clean, he sorted out a small issue we had very quickly. The only other small issue we had was with the massive drawers which we thought we could use, we were staying 5 nights and we like to unpack but couldn’t do that as these drawers were filled with bedding and pillows, so maybe worth moving elsewhere if folks are staying a while! However wouldn’t stop us staying there in the future. Such a lovely part of Italy not over busy yet!! Thank you again for making our stay so enjoyable."
